Detailed Eligibility – ICAR NRCB Recruitment:
Educational Qualifications:
Graduate & Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- B.Sc/B.A/Diploma passed (in the years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 only) and who have registered in the MHRD NATS Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in), which is mandatory.
Graduate Apprentices:
- A Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Tamil (Regular – Full time) granted by statutory University / Deemed University in relevant discipline – UGC approved.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- A Diploma in Engineering / Agriculture / Horticulture (Full time) granted by a State Council / Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline
- A Diploma in Engineering / Agriculture / Horticulture (Full time) granted by a University in a relevant discipline
- A Diploma in Engineering / Agriculture / Horticulture (Full time) granted by the State Government / Central Government as equivalent to above
Duration of Training: The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of ONE year as per Apprentice (Amendment) Act 1973.
Age Limit: Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship rules.

- Graduates Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/-
- Technician Apprentices: Rs. 8,000/-

Selection Process of NRCB Careers:
- Engagement of Graduate and Technician Apprentices will be purely made on merit basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in Graduate and Diploma respectively.
- The final rank list would be prepared according to categories General/SC/ST/OBC after certificate verification, comprising of ADT BoAT (SR) and Officials ICAR – NRC for Banana, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.
- The interview schedule to the eligible shortlisted candidates will be communicated through the candidate’s Registered Mobile number and Email address only.
