Educational Qualification:
Project Associate-I:
HCP0048c/2453-23:
- M.Sc. Geology/Applied Geology
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: The candidate having experience in petrography, igneous geochemistry and experimental petrology will be preferred.Selected candidates will have to carry out extensive fieldwork on land and sea, processing and analysis of rock samples, and conducting laboratory experiments
GAP2128/2454-23:
- M.Sc. Microbiology
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Experience in analyses of marine microbial samples, microbiological techniques, collection and preservation of marine samples for microbiological observations.
- To assist the scientists in laboratory and field for sample collection, processing and analysis.
- The selected candidate will be required to undertake extensive field work on board oceanographic vessels.
GAP2128/2455-23:
- M.Sc. Marine Science / Marine Biology with NET/GATE qualification
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Minimum one year of research experience (after M.Sc.) for collection of seawater and plankton samples.
- Should have experience in going on reseach cruise and boat trips.
- Knowledge of plankton identification and quantification
GAP2175/2459-23:
- M.Sc Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Sciences.
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: The candidate having proficiency in sample digestion, and handling geochemistry-related instruments like XRF / ICP-MS is preferred.
GAP2175/2460-23:
- M. Sc in Computer Science/Electronics
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Working knowledge with packages in Coraldraw, Linux, Python, Java, etc, and other languages.
- The candidate should have a valid passport.
- The selected candidates will have to participate in oceanographic cruises as and when required
GAP2128/2462-23:
- MSc in Marine Sciences (specialization in Marine Chemistry/Marine Geology) /Hydrochemistry / Chemistry (Organic / Inorganic / Analytical Chemistry) or equivalent degree.
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Experience in geochemical analyses of seawater and sediments.
- Knowledge of computer software like MS Office and Excel.
- To have a valid passport.
- Acquaintance and capability to operate the analytical equipment and other laboratory work.
- Preparing reagents, handling strong acids, preparation of samples for chemical analysis, maintaining geochemistry laboratory, assisting in data and sample collections, chemical analysis processing, collation etc and to participate in long oceanographic cruises.
SSP3505/2463-23:
- B.E / B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electronics and Telecommunications / Computer Science Engineering/Electronics.
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Knowledge in programming C/C++/Python.Embedded Programming, Operation of underwater Robots, and participation in Field Work, Boat trips and ship cruises may be required.
Project Assistant:
SSP3505/2457-23:
- Three Years Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering.
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Required knowledge of SolidWorks / 3D printers / Analysis Software.
- To assist scientists in mechanical design and development, participation in field deployment of instruments, fabrication of small components, etc.
GAP2128/2461-23:
- BSc in Geology or equivalent.
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Experience in handling geological samples.
- Knowledge of computer software like MS Office and Excel.
- To have a valid passport.
- Preparation of samples for geochemical analysis, maintaining geochemistry laboratory, assisting in data and sample collections, processing, collation, etc, and participating in long oceanographic cruises.
Project Associate-II ( GAP2175/2458-23 ):
- M.Sc Earth Science/Geology/ Environmental Sciences or equivalent with minimum 2 years of Research Experience in relevant field with UGC/CSIR NET Qualification
- Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Experience in handling sophisticated instruments e.g. ICP-OES; ICP MS; Ion chromatography and working in metal-free clean lab for TEI processing and analyses.
- To participate in field trips onboard cruises for collection of PMN samples and other observations/monitoring.
- To analyze trace metals and isotopes in sediments/PMN samples.
- Any other project related work assigned from time to time.

Selection Process:
- The selection process includes Interviews.
- If the number of applications is more, then the selection committee will fix the criteria to shortlist the applicants.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
- Selection will be done on the basis of an online interview through either Skype/Google Meet/Zoom or any other suitable software, as decided by the competent authority.
- Applications received after the due date will be rejected.
- The short-listed candidates will be informed through e-mail/website.
- The interview date will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through email.
