Educational Qualifications – National Insurance Company Recruitment:

Doctors (MBBS):

  • M.B.B.S / M.D. / M.S. or PG – Medical Degree from a recognized University OR equivalent foreign degrees recognised by the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) with the prescribed benchmark.
  • Furthermore, the candidate must hold a valid registration from the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council (as applicable for Allopathy) as on the scheduled interview date.

Legal: Graduate / Post Graduate in Law from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates

Finance: 

  • Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) OR
  • B.COM / M.COM from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates

Actuarial: Bachelor / Masters degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Actuarial Science or any other quantitative discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates

Information Technology: B.E / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology/ MCA from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

Salary: Approximately Rs. 85,000/- per month. The starting Basic pay would be Rs. 50,925 /- in the scale of Rs.50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765 and such other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company.

Selection Procedure for National Insurance Recruitment:

Part A:  Applicable for all applicants other than for Hindi Officers.

  • The written exam will be conducted in two phases

Phase – I: Preliminary Examination online

  • A preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online (applicable for all disciplines except Hindi Officers).
  • This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows

Phase – II: Main Examination online:

  • Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer the Descriptive Test by typing on the computer.

  • The Objective Test of 3 Hours duration consists of five & six sections for Generalists & Specialists, respectively for a total 250 Marks:

II) Descriptive Test:

  • The Descriptive Test of 30 Minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Essay – 10 Marks, Précis – 10 & Comprehension – 10 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted online.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main Examination (objective tests):

  • For each question the candidate has given a wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score.
  • If a question is left blank, i.e. the candidate marks no answer, there will be no penalty for that question.

Final Selection: The descriptive test will be qualifying in nature, and the marks scored on the descriptive test will not be counted towards shortlisting for an interview or final selection.

Application Fee of National Insurance Job Vacancy: 

An Application Fee has to be submitted for the NICL AO Recruitment during the online application process for the NICL AO 2024 Exam.

  • SC / ST / PwBD: Rs. 250/- (incl. of GST) (Intimation Charges only)
  • All candidates other than SC/ST/PwBD: Rs. 1000/- (incl. of GST) (Application fee including intimation charges)
