Educational Qualifications:
Administrative Officers (Generalists & Specialists) (Scale I):
Doctors (MBBS):
- M.B.B.S / M.D. / M.S. or PG โ Medical Degree from a recognized University OR equivalent foreign degrees which are recognized as such by the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) with the prescribed benchmark. Furthermore, the candidate must be holding a valid registration from National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council (as applicable for Allopathy) as on date of the scheduled interview.
Legal:
- Graduate / Post Graduate in Law from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
Finance:
- Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) OR
- B.COM / M.COM from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates
Information Technology:
- B.E / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology / MCA from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
Automobile Engineers:
- B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech in Automobile Engineering OR
- B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech in any branch of Engineering together with Diploma (at least one year duration) in Automoblie Engineering from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
Generalist Officers:
- Graduate / Post Graduate in any stream from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
Age limit (As on 01 May 2025): Minimum Age: 21 years Maximum Age: 30 years
Age Relaxation of National Insurance Career:
- Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes: 5 years

Salary Details:
- The starting Basic pay would be Rs. 50,925 /- in the scale of Rs.50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765 and such other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 90,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centres. Other benefits such as Pension under New Pension scheme governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc

Selection Procedure for National Insurance Recruitment:
- The written exam will be conducted in two phases
- Phase โ I: Preliminary Examination online
- Phase โ II: Main Examination online
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Online):
- Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online (applicable for all disciplines).
- This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

- Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online.
- Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer.
- Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

Descriptive Test: The descriptive Test of 30 Minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Essay โ 10 Marks, Prรฉcis โ 10 & Comprehension โ 10 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.
Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both โ Preliminary and Main Examination (objective tests):
- The objective test except on โEnglish Languageโ will be bilingual (in English and in Hindi).
- There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.
- Each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, onefourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.
- If a question is left blank, i.e., no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
Final Selection:
- The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the online Main Examination (Objective test) and Interview.
- The weightage (ratio) of online Main Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
