Educational Qualification:
Project Assistant(Research Assistant):
- Postgraduate in Social Sciences/relevant subjects from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Exposure to field-based surveys particularly among vulnerable populations and/or HIV/AIDS
- Fluency in regional language.
- Good communication skills.
- Good English language skills.
Project Technician III(Laboratory Technician):
- 12th pass in science subjects and two years Diploma Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized institution after the diploma.
- Desirable: Candidates with previous knowledge and experience in HIV/AIDS-related work.
Duration: 5 Months
Age Limit(As on 27 October 2023): Not exceeding 60 years.
Age Relaxation: As per Govt of India guidelines.

Technical Officer – B:
- BVSc Degree from a recognized University with VCI registration
- One year experience from a recognized Institution/ organization in the management of small laboratory animals, breeding and care.
- Desirable:
- MVSc with VCI registration
- Research publications in relevant fields in journals of repute
Age Limit(As on 31 October 2023): Not exceeding 35 years.
Age Relaxation:
- No age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer) candidates applying against unreserved posts as per Govt of India guidelines.
- Candidates working in the ICMR funded projects continuously shall also be eligible for age relaxation up to five years or equivalent to the project service rendered by them, whichever is less;

Selection Process:
- All eligible candidates after the screening of applications and shortlisting shall be called for a computer-based written test which will be conducted through an agency followed by a personal interview.
- The written test will be of 100 marks objective type MCQ.
- The date, time and venue of the written test will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through call letters/admit cards and no enquiry/request in this regard will be entertained.

- Rs. 600/- in the shape of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, ICMR-NICED, Kolkata payable at any Nationalized bank in Kolkata should be enclosed with the application.
- SC/ST, PwD and women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
