Detailed Eligibility – MECON Jobs:
Educational Qualification:
Sr. Medical Officer/Consultant:
- General Physician: MBBS with MD in General Medicine
- Critical Care Specialist: MD/DNB in medicine/Anaesthesia with: 1 year Post-Doctoral Certificate Course in Critical Care Medicine or 01 Year fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. OR MD in Critical Care Medicine
Experience:
- Sr. Medical Officer: Minimum 01 year
- Consultant: Minimum 04 years
Age Limit (As on 10 March 2025):
- Sr. Medical Officer: 34 years
- Consultant: 38 years
Age relaxation:
- 3 years for OBC (NCL)
- Persons with Disabilities candidate: By 13 Years for OBC (NCL)
- 5 years for the candidates who are the domicile of J&K during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 as per Govt. of India guidelines.
- Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen category candidates is as per extant Govt. of India guidelines.
Salary Details:
- Sr. Medical Officer: Rs. 60,000/- to 1,80,000/-
- Consultant: Rs. 80,000/- to 2,20,000/-

Selection Process of MECON Careers:
- The mode of selection shall be the Personal Interview of the provisionally shortlisted candidates.
- Shortlisting of the candidates for Personal Interview shall be done based on the scrutiny of the applications
- A list of candidates who are provisionally shortlisted for the Interview will be uploaded on MECON’s website and they will be intimated about the date, time and venue of the interview through their registered E-mail ID as filled by the candidates in the online application form
- Similarly, the final list of selected candidates will also be uploaded on MECON’s website and they will also be intimated about Documents Verification & Medical Examination through the MECON website and their registered E-mail ID only.
- Before the appointment, the selected candidates will have to undergo a Medical Examination.

- For Others: Rs. 1000/-
