The Kerala Public Service Commission is a body created by the Constitution of India. Educational Qualification for Kerala PSC Jobs:

Assistant Engineer (Mechanical):

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification

Range Forest Officer:

  • Candidates must possess a Degree in Science or Engineering from a University, Institution or Deemed University recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala with at least one of the following subjects:-
  • Science: (Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/ Computer Science, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology)
  • Engineering: (Agricultural/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)

Junior Chemist:

  • First Class or Second Class M.Sc Degree in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry from a recognized University.

Scientific Assistant (Pathology):

  • M.Sc in Chemistry I or II Classย Or M.Sc in Zoology I or II Class

Draftsman Grade II:

  • Must have passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent examination.
  • National Trade Certificate in Draftsman Civil or Surveyor. OR
  • Group Certificate in Kerala Government Certificate of Engineering (Group Certificate will include all the four subjects namely Building, Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation) OR
  • A pass in the Madras Government Technical Examination/Kerala Government Technical Examination in the following seven subjects,namely
  • Surveying and levelling (Higher)
  • Applied Mechanics ( Higher)
  • Building Materials and Construction (Higher)
  • Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher)
  • Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher)

Mason โ€“ Museums and Zoos:

  • Ability to read and write Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada
  • Practical experience in masonary work under an approved contractor for not less than 3 year

Regional Officer โ€“ PART-I:

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration/Masters Degree in Business Management OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognized by any University in Kerala.
  • 3 (Three) years Experience in Managerial Cadre in Coir Industry or Coir Cooperative Society

Regional Officer-PART-II:

  • Must have 3 years regular service in any cadre in the Member Societies affiliated to the Kerala State Co-operative Coir Marketing Federation Limited. Candidates selected under this Category should be in service of the Member Society not only on the date of application but also on the date of appointment to the new post.
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration/Masters Degree in Business Management OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognized by any University in Kerala.
  • 3 (Three) years Experience in Managerial Cadre in Coir Industry or Coir Co-operative Society

Assistant Finance Manager-Part-I (GRL.CATEGORY):

  • B.com with CA Inter/ICWA Inter OR
  • M.Com with 3 years experience in the Managerial Cadre of a reputed Organisation.

Assistant Finance Manager โ€“ Part-II (Society. CATEGORY):



  • Must have 3 years regular service in any cadre in the Member Societies affiliated to the Kerala State Co-operative Coir Marketing Federation Limited. Candidates selected under this Category should be in service of the Member Society not only on the date of application but also on the date of appointment to the new post.
  • B.com with CA Inter/ICWA Inter OR
  • M.Com with 3 years experience in the Managerial Cadre of a reputed Organisation.

Sweeper:

  • Literacy in English/Malayalam/Tamil or Kannada

High School Teacher:

L. P School Teacher:

  • A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR
  • A pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree examination. OR
  • A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or any other Examination recognized by Government as equivalent thereto.
  • A pass in TTC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.

Sergeant:

  • Must be a pensioned Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army or equivalent in the Navy or Air Force. OR
  • In the absence of candidates with the qualification mentioned in item (1) above, candidates with literacy in English and ten years Military Service in the Army, Navy or Air Force. OR
  • In the absence of qualified hands under items (1) and (2) above, SSLC or equivalent with ten years service in the Police Force under the State Government or six months Military Training.

Assistant Engineer:

  • B.Tech Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a UGC recognized University/National Institutes established by the Central Government or Institution established by Government of Kerala. OR
  • Pass in Sections A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.

Third Grade Overseer/Third Grade Draftsman:

  • Must have passed SSLC or its equivalent
  • Must possess any one of the following:-
  • Kerala Government Certificate Examination (2 years course) in Civil Engineering
  • Diploma in Craftsmanship in the Trade of Draftsman (Civil) obtained after 18 months course, (followed by 6 months practical training) at the Industrial Training Institute/ Centres, conducted by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour/Ministry of Skilled Development.
  • Diploma (Two years course) in Civil Engineering in Womenโ€™s Polytechnics

Overseer Grade III (Civil):

  • Pass in SSLC Examination or its equivalent qualification and
  • Must possess anyone of the qualifications mentioned below
    • Lower Grade Drawing Group Certificate KGTE or its equivalent.
    • Second Grade Certificates secured by Draftsman (Civil) Trainees under T.T Scheme, College of Engineering or under Industrial Training Centre conducted by the Ministry of Labour Government of India, after a course of 18 months.
    • Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher or Lower) KGTE or equivalent and any two of the other Civil Engineering Subjects under KGTE or equivalent.
    • Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 years Course) of Womenโ€™s Polytechnics of the State.
    • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Rural Institute Thavanur.
    • Vocational Higher Secondary Course Certificate in Draftsmanship and Quantity Surveying.
    • Vocational Higher Secondary Course Certificate in Building Technology

Assistant Professor in Neurology:

  • DM / DNB (Neurology)
  • Permanent Registration Under Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC)/ Council for Modern Medicine

Assistant Professor in Physiology (III NCA-ST):

  • MD/DNB (Physiology)
  • One Year Experience as Senior Resident in Physiology in a NMC Recognized Medical College after acquiring Post Graduate Degree

Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery:

  • M.Ch/ DNB in Neurosurgery
