Detailed Eligibility – ISRO VSSC Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Research Scientist:
- M.Sc. degree in Meteorology / Atmospheric Science with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of a minimum of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent.
Duration: The position of Research Scientist will be purely on contract basis for a period of 3 years and are not entitled for annual increment
Age Limit (As on 12 December 2025): 28 years
Age Relaxation:
- Ex-Servicemen, Meritorious Sportspersons & Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India Orders
Salary: Level 10 (Rs.56,100/- plus allowances as applicable)

Selection Process for ISRO VSSC Careers:
- The selection to the position will be based on the performance in the interview.
- Initial screening of applications will be conducted to short-list meritorious candidates for interview and the final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the interview.
- The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for interview.
- The interview will be scheduled at VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram.
- The call letter for interview will be sent to the short-listed candidates by e-mail.
- The result of the interview will be announced through VSSC website subsequently.
