Detailed Eligibility – ICFRE Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Project: Assessment of the impact of various environment protection measures on flora, fauna and ecological balance in ML 2679, M/s. Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Limited
Project Consultant:
- First-class Master’s degree in Biological Science with experience in Ecology and Biodiversity assessment concerning developmental projects for five years. OR
- Retired Government Employee with Grade pay of Rs. 4600/- with experience in Ecology and Biodiversity Assessment about developmental projects for five years in line with Consultant ‘A’ position as per MoEF&CC notification.
- Desirable: Willingness to travel in remote locations, including fieldwork to collect vegetation-related data, identification of plant species, interpretation of data and report writing. Knowledge of Computer application
Project:
- Preparation of Riverine/Riparian Ecosystem Conservation and Management Plan for Wardha and Penganga River concerning Mungoli Nirguda Extension Deep OC Mine and Wardha River concerning Niljai Expansion (Deep) OC Mine of WCL.
- Biodiversity study of reclaimed OB dump related to Jayant and Krishnashila OCP
- Preparation of Catchment Area Treatment (CAT) Plan of Kalai – II HEP (1200 MW) located in Anjaw District, Arunachal Pradesh
Project Associate:
- First-class Master’s degree with five years of experience in the field of Ecology and Biodiversity/Environmental Science / Zoology/ Wildlife Biology
OR Ph. D. has more than 03 years working experience in the above-mentioned fields and in case of developmental projects - Desirable: Willingness to travel including fieldwork to collect data on flora and fauna and conduct ecological studies. Interpretation of data and experience in EIA/EMP report writing and preparation of Biodiversity/Ecological assessment related reports. Good presentation skills and knowledge of Computer and statistical tools, etc.
Age Limit ( As on 24 April 2024):
- Project Consultant: 65 Years
- Project Associate: 35 Years
Age Relaxation of ICFRE Recruitment:
- Age relaxable up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women, PH, and 03 years for OBC as per Govt. of India and ICFRE Rules

- Qualification: M.Sc. (Agriculture/Horticulture/ Environmental Sciences/Forestry)
- Desirable: Min. experience of one year under research projects, working knowledge of computers.
Field Assistant:
- Project: AICRP-13 on Ecosystem Services/Field Assistant (FA)
- Essential Qualification: B.Sc. (Environmental Sciences/Forestry/Agriculture)
- Desirable: Prior work experience in & knowledge of environmental economics, working knowledge of computers
