Detailed Eligibility for High Court of Punjab & Haryana Careers:

Educational Qualification:

Peon: Minimum Middle Standard and maximum 10+2 from recognized School Education Board/recognized School.

Age Limit (As on 20 September 2024): Candidates for all the categories should not be less than 18 years and more than 35 years

Age Relaxation:

Persons with inability: 10 years above the prescribed upper age limit
Ex-servicemen: By number of years equal to his defence service plus 3 years

Selection Process for High Court of Punjab & Haryana Careers:

The selection process will be based on a written test.
All the candidates applying for the peon post must first appear in the written test of 100 Marks consisting of 50 multiple choice questions (2 marks each) about general knowledge, general awareness, current affairs and numerical ability with no negative marking.
The question paper will be set in English, Hindi and Punjabi language.
The duration of the test will be 90 minutes.
A minimum 50% marks by candidates belonging to the general category and a minimum of 45% marks by candidates belonging to reserved categories shall be required to be considered to appear in the next stage of the recruitment process.
After the written test, candidates equivalent to 10 times (category wise), except PWD category, of the advertised vacancies, in order of their merit in written test, would be called for Physical Endurance Test which shall be only qualifying in nature.
This test shall consist of three activities namely 800-meter race, long jump and high jump.
The final list of provisionally selected candidates (as per the number of vacancies advertised) of General, SC/ST/BC and Ex-Servicemen categories shall be prepared from the list of candidates qualifying Physical Endurance Test, strictly on the basis of their merit in the written test.
The date of examination will be notified on the official website of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh.

General and SC/ST/BC of areas/States other than Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh: Rs. 700/-
SC/ST/BC of areas/States of Punjab, Haryana, and U.T. Chandigarh: Rs. 600/-
Ex-servicemen: Rs. 600/-
Persons with disabilities (PWD): Rs. 600/-
There shall be no application fee for the candidates dependent on the Ex-Servicemen who are disabled/deceased during the active operation.
