Educational Qualification:
Judgment Writer:
- The candidate applying for the posts of Judgment Writer should be at least Graduate or equivalent thereto from a recognized University.
- Further, the candidate should have proficiency in operation of computers (Word processing and spreadsheet).
Age Limit (As on 01 October 2024): The minimum and maximum age limit for the candidates shall be 21 years and 30 years
Age Relaxation:
- Persons with inability: 10 years above the prescribed upper age limit
- Ex-servicemen: By number of years equal to his defence service plus 3 years
- Government Employee: For candidates already working in the Government departments/Semi-Government departments/Corporations/Boards, the upper age limit shall be 40 years.
Salary Details: The pay and allowances of the selected candidates will be governed as per the latest applicable rules and instructions issued by the Government of Punjab and adopted by the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana for its employees.

Selection Process for High Court of Punjab & Haryana Careers:
- The Candidates shall be required to take down dictation at the speed of 120 w.p.m. in English Shorthand and transcribe the same on the computer at 24 w.p.m.
- The shorthand dictation shall be of 10 minutes duration
- No candidate shall be considered qualified for the test if he/she commits more than 5% mistakes.
- Spreadsheet test (10 marks) shall only qualify in nature and be of 10 minutes duration.
- To qualify for the spreadsheet test, candidates must secure 40% or more marks, i.e. 4 or more.
- Final lists of qualified candidates (category-wise) will be prepared based on merit in the word processing/transcription test.
- After the test, candidates will be called through SMS and/or E-mail to check of their original testimonials.
- The examination date will be announced on the official website of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh (www.highcourtchd.gov.in), and candidates are advised to visit the website regularly.

Educational Qualification:
Peon: Minimum Middle Standard and maximum 10+2 from recognized School Education Board/recognized School.
Age Limit (As on 20 September 2024): Candidates for all the categories should not be less than 18 years and more than 35 years
Age Relaxation:

Selection Process for High Court of Punjab & Haryana Careers:
- The selection process will be based on a written test.
- All the candidates applying for the peon post must first appear in the written test of 100 Marks consisting of 50 multiple choice questions (2 marks each) about general knowledge, general awareness, current affairs and numerical ability with no negative marking.
- The question paper will be set in English, Hindi and Punjabi language.
- The duration of the test will be 90 minutes.
- A minimum 50% marks by candidates belonging to the general category and a minimum of 45% marks by candidates belonging to reserved categories shall be required to be considered to appear in the next stage of the recruitment process.
- After the written test, candidates equivalent to 10 times (category wise), except PWD category, of the advertised vacancies, in order of their merit in written test, would be called for Physical Endurance Test which shall be only qualifying in nature.
- This test shall consist of three activities namely 800-meter race, long jump and high jump.
- The final list of provisionally selected candidates (as per the number of vacancies advertised) of General, SC/ST/BC and Ex-Servicemen categories shall be prepared from the list of candidates qualifying Physical Endurance Test, strictly on the basis of their merit in the written test.
- The date of examination will be notified on the official website of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh.
