Detailed Eligibility – DRDO MTRDC Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Junior Research Fellow:
- Graduate Degree in Professional course (B.Tech) in Material Science/Metallurgy in first division with GATE/NET. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in Professional course (M.E./M.Tech) in Material Science/Metallurgy in first Division both at graduate and Post Graduate level. OR
- Post-graduate Degree in basic science (M.Sc.) in Material Science/Metallurgy in first division with NET/GATE qualification.
Duration: 2 Years (may be extended further)
Research Associate:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Materials Science/Metallurgy OR
- having 3 years of research, teaching or design and development experience after M.Tech in Material Science/Metallurgy with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Duration: 2 Years (Fixed)
Age Limit:
- Junior Research Fellow: Not exceeding 28 Years
- Research Associate: Not exceeding 35 Years
Age Relaxation: Age Relaxation is allowed upto 5 years for SC/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Stipend:
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month
- Research Associate (RA): Rs. 67,000/- + HRA per month

Selection Process for DRDO MTRDC Careers:
- The selection process will be based on interviews.
- The test/interview will be conducted on the same day.
