DRDO ADE Recruitment 2026: The Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), Bengaluru, a premier laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), invites applications for the Junior Research Fellow/Research Associate posts. DRDO ADE Jobs– Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualifications:
Research Associate:
Aero / Mechanical Engineering:
- PhD in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering having expertise related to design and analysis composite structures, advanced composite materials related to aerospace application to achieve optimized light structures and aero elasticity. OR
- M.E./M. Tech in first division in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum three years post M.E./M. Tech experience in research and design related to aircraft structures using advanced composite materials, optimization and aero elasticity.
- Desirable: Aero elasticity and weight optimization in aircraft structures. Good knowledge of aircraft structures
Aero/ Electronics/ Material Engineering:
- PhD in Aeronautical/Electronics/Material Engineering having expertise related to design and analysis radar absorbing structures, electromagnetic design and analysis of aircraft structures using high frequency solver, low observable structure/radome design. OR
- M.E./M. Tech in first division in Aeronautical/Electronics/Material Engineering having expertise related to design and analysis radar absorbing structures, electromagnetic design and analysis of aircraft structures using high frequency solver, low observable structure/radome design with minimum of two years of experience in the above domain.
- Desirable: Knowledge and past experience in electromagnetic design and analysis of aircraft, radar absorbing material design, python coding, RCS measurement and AI/ML for material/aircraft structure design. Good knowledge of aircraft structures
Junior Research Fellow (Aeronautical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering):
- B.E / B.Tech. in First Division with valid GATE score # (OR)
- M.E / M.Tech, with First Division both at Graduate and Post Graduate levels
Tenure: For JRF it is initially for a period of two years and extendable as per rules. For RA, the tenure is only for two years
Age Limit (24 March 2026): Maximum of 35 and 28 years for RA & JRF respectively
Age Relaxation: Relaxable for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per Government rules
Stipend: Fellowship Emoluments: Research Associates: Rs. 67,000/- per month & Junior Research Fellow: Rs.37,000/- per month with applicable HRA as per rules.

Selection Process of DRDO ADE Careers:
- The selection process for this post is based on Interview.
- Candidates for RA vacancies would be shortlisted and will be informed over mail by 31 Mar 2026 to attend the interview on 09 Apr 2026 (Thursday)
- For JRF Selection, A Screening Test, if required (on the basis of number of candidates reporting) would be conducted on 07 Apr 2026, (Tuesday) for shortlisting candidates for the interview. The interview may continue on next day also (08 Apr 2026, Wednesday) if the shortlisted candidates are more. Candidates have to be prepared accordingly and make their own stay arrangement.
- Valid GATE score is essential for BE/B Tech
- All the Candidates are to report for the interview in ADE on the date mentioned above with original application and also they should possess all certificates/documents/testimonials in original along with a set of self-attested copies of the same during interview for verification/retention
