Detailed Eligibility for DME AP Careers:

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Professor Broad Specialties (Clinical and Non-Clinical): PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM) in the concerned Specialty from the institutions recognized by MCI/NMC/DCI

Assistant Professor Super Specialties: PG Degree (DNB/DM/MCH) in concerned Super Specialty from the institutions recognized by MCI/NMC

For The Candidates Applying Under Lateral Entry

Eligibility Criteria:

Assistant Professors in broad specialities working in the Directorate of Medical Education, Civil Assistant Surgeons working in the Directorate of Public Health & Family Welfare or Directorate of Secondary Health (APVVP) are only eligible to apply.
Candidate shall be an approved probationer or should have completed the probation period in the cadre of CAS/Assistant Professor.
There shall not be any disciplinary charges pending against the candidate and shall not be in unauthorized absence.

Age Limit:

OC candidate should not have completed 42 years as of the date of Notification (should not have been born before 01-07-1981).
EWS/SC/ST/BC candidates should not have completed 47 years as of the date of Notification (should not have been born before (01-07-1976)
Physically disabled persons should not have completed 52 years as on date of Notification (should not have been born before (01-07-1971)
Ex-servicemen should not have completed 50 years as on date of Notification (should not have born before (01-07-1973)

Salary:

Salary will be paid as per the rules in force till the completion of the probation period. The 7th UGC Pay scales (G.O.Ms.No.22, HM & FW (A1)Dept., Dated 01.03.2021) will be applicable after the completion of the probation period.
A super Specialty allowance of Rs. 30,000/- will be paid in addition to the salary.

Selection Process for DME AP Careers:

Selection Procedure For DR:

Selection will be based on merit and the rule of reservation
A merit list will be prepared for all the candidates who applied and fulfilled all the eligibility conditions.
Selection lists will be prepared based on merit lists and roster points as per the Rules of Reservation issued in AP State and Subordinate Services.
Total Marks – 100
75 marks are based on the marks/ grade obtained in the qualifying degree.
For those who do not have PG marks memo or Grade, the percentage of marks will be taken as 50% (50%x75=37.50)
- It is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain and submit marks memos from the competent authorities wherever grades instead of marks are issued.
- Regarding the Grades: (Marks will be considered as75%) (As per Govt Memo No. 4296/A1/2015, Dated 22.04.2015)
- Grade – A Distinction 75% to 85% mean 80%
- Grade – B+ Above Average 65% to 74% mean 70%
- Grade – B Pass 50% to 64% mean 57%
10 marks based on weightage for several years since passing a qualifying examination is upto10 marks @1 mark per PG/Completion of PG/Super-specialty completed year.
Five weightage marks will be provided to the candidates who have completed PG/Super Specialty from Central Institutions.
15 Marks to the contract service rendered in Government institutions

Selection Procedure for LE:

The merit list will be prepared based on the rank the respective appointing authority gives at the time of recruitment as CAS / Assistant professor.
The selection list will be prepared based on merit and the rule of reservation applicable to the promotions as per AP state and subordinate service rules.
