Deputy Field Officer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Master’s degree in Science or any other technical or scientific discipline from a recognised University or institution.
- Candidates must have qualified in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Exam with a valid GATE Score Card (from GATE 2022/2023/2024).
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 Years
Age Relaxation of Junior Engineer Vacancy 2024: The upper age limit is relaxable for identified categories (SC/ST/ OBC/Central Govt. Employees/Ex-servicemen. as per Central Government Orders in force).

Selection Process of Cabinet Secretariat Careers:
- The selection of candidates will be based on their GATE Score and interview, subject to their fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria, their Character & Antecedent verification, and medical examination.
- All the applications received will be arranged in the order of merit based on valid GATE Scores for each subject separately.
- Candidates shortlisted (5 times the number of vacancies) based on valid GATE Score will be called for an Interview.
- Interviews will be held at the following Centres – Chennai, Gurugram, Guwahati, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. Candidate should opt for any one of the Centres of his/her choice.
