Educational Qualification:

Credit Officer (GBO):

Selection Process of BOI Careers:

  • Selection will be made through an online test and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants/eligible candidates.
  • If the online test is conducted, the weightage (ratio) of the Online Examination and interview will be at 80:20.
  • A candidate should be found suitable both in the Online Examination and interview to be eligible for final selection.

  • The above tests, except the Test of English Language, will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
  • The duration of the examination will be two hours.
  • The test in the English language will qualify, i.e., marks obtained in the English language will not be added while preparing the merit list.
  • There will be penalties for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.
  • For each question the candidate has given a wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at the corrected score.
  • There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

Merit of Examination:

  • Qualifying marks stipulated above are for General/EWS Category candidates.
  • Candidates belonging to the Category SC/ST/OBC/PWD, filling in vacancies reserved for the relevant category, will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks about that stipulated for General/EWS category candidates

Interview:

  • Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Online Tests and ranking sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for Personal interviews.
  • The Bank may conduct the selection process only based on Interviews without holding an online test.
  • If the online examination is not conducted, an adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank, will be shortlisted for the interview based on their qualifications, experience, and overall suitability for the post.
  • The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100.

Merit of Examination:

  • The minimum qualifying marks for the General/EWS category candidates will be 40%, and for SC/ST/OBC/PWD, it will be 35% of the total marks.
  • The candidates called for the interview will be at the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies. However, the Bank may increase or decrease the said ratio.

Examination Centres:

  • The examination will be conducted online in Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh/ Mohali, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi/ Delhi NCR, Guwahati, Hyderabad/ Secunderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai /Thane /Navi Mumbai /MMR, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram.

Document Verification: The following documents in original, together with self-attested photocopies, will be produced by the candidates at the time of the interview.

  • Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter
  • Valid system-generated printout of the online application form
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)
  • Photo Identify Proof as indicated in para “IDENTITY VERIFICATION”
  •  Mark sheets & certificates for educational qualifications.
  • A proper document from the Board /University for having declared the result on or before 01.02.2024 has to be submitted.
  • Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format stipulated by the Government of India in case of SC / ST / OBC category candidates.
  • Income and Asset Certificate
  • Disability Certificate is in the prescribed format in the PWD category.
  • An Ex-serviceman candidate must produce a copy of the Service or Discharge Book/pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last / presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the interview.
  • No Objection Certificate from Candidates serving in Government / quasi Govt. offices/ Public Sector
  • Experience certificates, as applicable.

Selection Process of BOI Recruitment:

If Group Discussion is not conducted:

  • Selection will be done based on Personal Interview only.
  • Maximum mark for interview will be 100.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in interview shall be 50% for General/EWS Category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC category candidate.

If both Group Discussion and Interview is conducted:



  • Maximum Marks for Group Discussion will be 30 and minimum qualifying marks will be 40% for General/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/OBC category (out of 30 marks).
  • Only those candidates who have secured minimum qualifying marks in Group Discussion shall be called for Personal Interview.
  • Mere participation in Group Discussion shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for Personal Interview.
  • The weightage (ratio) of Personal Interview and Group Discussion will be 70:30

Merit List:

  • A merit list of the candidates shall be prepared based on their marks in Group Discussion carrying 30 marks and Personal Interview carrying 70 Marks in descending order under the respective SC / ST / OBC / EWS/ GEN Category.
  • The final selection will be made based on this merit list.

Note: In case of equal marks scored by two or more candidates, the merit order of such group of candidates will be derived on the basis of their date of birth (i.e. more senior in age will be placed first before less senior in age)
