AP Endowments Department: At the time of the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh in 1956, there were two enactments for administering the Hindu Religious and Charitable Institutions, viz., The Madras Act 19/1951 for the Andhra area and the Hyderabad Endowments Regulations 1939 for the Telangana area. To have a uniform law throughout the State, the Government of Andhra Pradesh enacted a new Endowments Act in 1966. Subsequently, this Act was also repealed by enacting the present Act in 1987 on the recommendations of Justice Challa Kondaiah Commission. This Act has also undergone several amendments; a major amendment took place in 2007.

Educational Qualification:
Assistant Executive Engineers: Must possess B.E./B. Tech degree (Civil/Electrical)/ of a university in India established or incorporated by or under a central Act, Provincial Act or State Act or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or AMIE or an equivalent qualification.
Technical Assistants: Must possess an LCE Diploma issued by the Board of Technical Education or an equivalent qualification there too (G.O.Ms.No.829 Revenue (Endts. III) Dept., Dated 16.11.2000)

Selection Process:
The selection process will be based on a Written Examination.

- 80 Marks- Technical (as prescribed in the syllabus).
- Duration : 3 hrs(180 minutes).
