ICHR Recruitment 2023 notification announced for the posts of Group-C. There are totally 35 vacancies available in Indian Council of Historical Research. Candidates with the qualification of 10th/12th pass/any degree are eligible to apply for the job. About ICHR: The Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, It was established by the Ministry of Education & Social Welfare, Govt. of India (now, Ministry of Education) on 27th March 1972 on the recommendation of a Working Group set up by the Government of India in December 1971. The respective numbers of the committee were Professor R.S. Sharma, Patna University (Chairman); Professor Satish Chandra, Jawaharlal Nehru University; Professor Tapan Ray Chaudhuri, Delhi University; Dr. S.N. Prasad, Director, National Archives; Shri J. Veeraraghvan, Director (Internal Finance), Ministry of Education & Social Welfare; and Smt. S. Doraiswami, Deputy Education Adviser, Ministry of Education & Social Welfare.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification :
Library & Information Assistant:
- Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University.
- Degree in Library Science or a diploma for which degree is an admission requirement 2 years experience in library of College/University/Govt. Department/Auto,nomous Organizations.
Copy Holder :
- Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University.
- 3 years experience as a Copy Holder in any Govt. or in publishing concern.
- Familiarity with the signs used in proof- Reading.
- Knowledge of proof- Reading.
- Good Knowledge of English.
Assistant :
- Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University.
- 5 years experience in Govt./Semi – Gol’t. organization or a Public Sector undertaking/ autonomous organization dealing with establishment matters and or Accounts.
Junior Hindi Translator : Bachelor’s degree of recognized university with Hindi and English as compulsory subject or either of the two as medium of examination and the other a compulsory/elective subject.
Lower Division Clerk :
- 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Should pass type writing in English/Hindi with a minimum speed of 35/30 words per minute on computer (35/30 word per minute correspond to 10500/9000 KDPH on a average of 5 key depression for each word ).
- Graduate with knowledge and experience of computer applications like; MS Office, Excel etc.
Hindi Typist :
- 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Should pass type writing in Hindi with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer (30 word per minute correspond to 9000 KDPH on a average of 5 key depression for each word.
- Graduate with knowledge and experience of computer applications like; MS Office, Excel etc.
Lift Operator :
- 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Should possess a certificate of training in lift operation.
Staff Car Driver :
- 12 th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Should possess valid driving license with 2 years experience of driving.
Scooter Driver :
- 12 class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Should possess valid driving license with 2 years experience of driving.
MTS/ Office Attendant : 10th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
MTS / Watch & Ward Attendant : 10th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
Senior Library Attendant : 10th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
Safai Karamachari : 10th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
