Educational Qualification:
Young Professionals:
- Regular Graduation in any discipline of Science/Engineering/ BE/B-Tech from a recognized University Regular MBA or equivalent in Marketing/Sales, Retail Management, Logistics and Supply Management and Operations Management from a recognized University.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Marketing or equivalent fields (Preferably conversant with Management System Certification)
Tenure of Engagement: The engagement is purely on contract for Two years.
Upper Age Limit(As on 02 February 2024):
- Young Professionals: Below 35 years
Salary details of BIS careers:
- Young Professionals: Rs.70,000/- fixed for two years, will be paid to the Young Professional. The remuneration is subject to statutory deductions.

Job description:
- Scrutiny of the Inspection Reports (IRs) and Test Reports (TRs) of Factory Inspections.
- Inspection of the Test Reports (TRs) of the Market Samples.
- Management of the Market Surveillance Cell.
- Scrutiny of applications for the Grant of license and examination of the Test Reports (TRs) in respect of Application Samples.
- Assisting Certification Officers in conducting (Search & Seizure) S&S operations.
- Assisting Heads of BOs in following up the prosecution of offenders.
- Any other work assigned by BIS.
Tenure of Engagement: The engagement is purely on contract basis till 3rd October 2024 from the date of joining.
Upper Age Limit (As on 10 March 2024): Should not be more than 35 years
Salary details of BIS careers:
- Graduate Engineers: A consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only), will be paid to the Graduate Engineers. The remuneration is subject to statutory deductions.
