Detailed Eligibility – VOC Port Authority Recruitment:

Educational Qualification:

Law Officer Gr.I:

Essential: A degree in Law from a recognised university.
Desirable:
- Two years experience in the Legal Establishment of Industrial/Commercial/ Government Undertakings.
- Post Graduate Degree in Law from a recognised University.

Assistant Executive Engineer:

Civil:

Essential: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
from a recognized University / Institution.
Desirable: Two years experience in executive cadre in Planning/Construction/Design/Maintenance, preferably of Port and Marine Structures in an Industrial Commercial/Government Undertaking.

Mechanical:

Essential: Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
Desirable: Two years experience in relevant discipline in executive cadre in Industrial Commercial/Government Undertaking.

Age Limit ( As on 01 April 2024):

Minimum Age – 18 years
Maximum Age – 30 years
Candidate must have been born not earlier than 01 April 1994 and not later than 01 April 2006

Age relaxation:

OBC – 13 years
SC/ST – 15 years
PwD – 10 years

Salary:

Basic pay of Rs.50,000 /- on a scale of Rs.50,000-1,60,000 (under revision) and other admissible allowances as applicable.
Total emoluments at present Pay scale will be approximately Rs. 90,000/- per month plus HRA as admissible (if not residing in VOC Port quarters).

Selection Process of VOC Port Authority Recruitment:

The selection process includes an Online Exam and Interview.
The shortlisted candidates from the online test will be called for an interview.
A list of candidates shortlisted for the Interview/Skill test will be available on the VOCPA website.
The selection will be based on overall Online Examination and Interview performance.
The selection of shortlisted candidates for all the posts will be subject to verification of the required documents as indicated in this advertisement in the original.
The medium of the online test will be English.

Note: There is no deduction of marks for any incorrect or unanswered questions except for the Assistant Executive Engineer (Mech) post, for which 1/3 mark will be deducted for each correct answer.

Test Centre for Online Test:

The examination will be conducted at Chennai, Madurai and Tirunelveli centres.
The examination will be conducted online in venues in the area as given in the respective admit cards.

Dates of Online Examination: The online examination dates will be intimated around ten days before the examination on the port website or the mode of intimation to be specified.

Documents Required for Online Examination:

Valid Admit Card for the respective date and session of Examination
Photo-identity proof (as specified) in original bearing the same name as it appears on the Admit Card/ Application Form

Interview:

The address of the venue, time, and interview date will be provided to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.
Documents required for interview/verification:
- Interview Call Letter Valid system-generated printout of the online application form Registered for the online examination and e-receipt.
- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Municipal Authorities or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB) Photo Identify Proof as indicated in *IDENTITY VERIFICATION of the advertisement.
- Mark sheets & certificates of educational qualifications and relevant eligibility documents as indicated against relevant posts.
- Caste Certificate and caste validity certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format
