Detailed Eligibility:
For Classes I-V (Primary Level): Degree with 02 years B.T.C / N.C.T.E/Diploma (D.Ed.)/ Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
For Classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level): Degree / 02 years B.T.C/ Intermediate with 50% marks and Degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. and Degree in Relevant discipline and B.Ed.
Age limit: 18 to 35 years
Relaxations in upper age limit:
- 3 years for OBC candidates
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates
UPTET 2018 Exam Selection process:
- The selection process is based on Computer Based Test (CBT)
- All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying One Mark, with four alternatives out of which One Answer will be correct.
- There will be no Negative Marking.
- Paper 1 is conducted for candidates applying for appointment of teacher for class 1 to 5. Whereas, Paper 2 is conducted for appointment of teacher for class 6 to 8.
- Duration of Examination: 2 hours 30 minutes
