Detailed Eligibility for UPSBC Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical):
- Candidates must hold a Graduate degree in Civil/Mechanical disciplines
- These qualifications are precisely as specified in the service rules of UPSBC Ltd.
Upper Age Limit (As on 01 January 2025): The candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 02 January, 1985 and not later than 01% January, 2004.
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit shall be increased by five years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P. Other Backwards Classes of U.P.
- Upper age limit shall be greater by fifteen years for persons with disabilities (PH) of U.P.
- Upper age limit shall also be greater by three years + Period of service (in Years) rendered in Army for the Emergency Commissioned officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers/
Ex-Army Personnel of U.P. - The age of superannuation in UPSBC Ltd is as per U.P Government order.

Selection Process for UPSBC Careers:
- The selection process will be based on Short listing Process, Merit list/Call Letter & Document verification
- The candidates should be GATE-2025 Qualified and have a valid GATE SCORE-2025.
- The candidate who appeared GATE-2025, exam other than the Civil/Mechanical Engineering discipline, shall not be eligible.
Shortlisting Process:
- Eligible candidates will be short listed on their GATE SCORE-2025 Card
Merit list/Call Letter:
- After short listing of candidates, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of GATE SCORE-2025 and All India Rank.
- Panel of Selected candidate in order of their merit shall be prepared by authorized committee as per service rules of UPSBC Ltd.
Document Verification:
- For verification eligible candidates must be present in person.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to produce self-attested valid, relevant documents as well as the original document for verification in support of the information furnished by them.
- At the time of document verification, the candidates must have their Graduation Certificate or final year mark sheet otherwise they will be disqualified.
