Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate Contract Resident Teacher ( PGCRT ) in KGBVs (Only Female Candidates to apply):
- A Post Graduate Degree in the subject concerned (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a University recognized by the UGC.
- In the case of SC / ST /BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% AND
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or B.A. B.Ed / B.Sc. B.Ed from any institution recognized by NCTE or B.Ed. (Special Education) from any institution recognized by RCI with the subject concerned as a Methodology.
- Concerned Subjects: Urdu/Zoology/Botany/Chemistry/ Physics/Civics/Commerce/ Economics/ Maths/ English/Telugu
- Nursing: Must possess M.Sc.(Nursing) / B.Sc. (Nursing) Four years or equivalent qualification from any institution recognized by MCI with 50% marks.
Special Officer, CRTs & PETs:
KGBV Staff (Only Female candidates are eligible):
Special Officer:
- A Post Graduate Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a University recognized by the UGC.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc./B.Ed. from any institution recognized by NCTE or B.Ed. (Special Education) from any institution recognized by RCI with the subject concerned as a Methodology.
- Pass Paper II of Telangana State Eligibility Test (TSTET) / Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) (Prior to 02.06.2014) / Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) with Mathematics and Science (or) Social studies as Optional.
CRTs:
- Must possess a Graduate / Post Graduate Degree and Pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from any institution recognized by NCTE or B.Ed. (Special Education) from any institution recognized by RCI. OR
- Must possess a 4-year B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. Integrated degree AND
- Pass in Paper II of Telangana State Eligibility Test (TSTET) / Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) (prior to 02.06.2014) / Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
- Concerned Subjects: Maths/Physical Science/ Biological Science/Social/Telugu/Hindi/Urdu/English.
PETs:
- Must possess an Intermediate (or its equivalent) recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana with a minimum of 50% marks. (In the case of SC / ST / BC/Differently, Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%) And
- A Certificate / Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education / Diploma in Physical Education from an institution recognized by the NCTE. OR
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) of at least one year duration from any institution recognized by NCTE.
URS Staff (Candidates of all gender are eligible):
Special Officer:
- A Post Graduate Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a University recognized by the UGC.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc./B.Ed. from any institution recognized by NCTE or B.Ed. (Special Education) from any institution recognized by RCI with the subject concerned as a Methodology.
- Pass Paper II of Telangana State Eligibility Test (TSTET) / Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) (Prior to 02.06.2014) / Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) with Mathematics and Science (or) Social studies as Optional.

Note: Candidates applying for the posts of SOs / CRT shall have qualified Paper II of TSTET or CTET.
Age Limit ( As on 01 July 2023 ): The candidate should be of minimum 18 years of age & Maximum of 44 years.
Age Relaxation:
- There shall be a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/BCs & EWS
- 3 years for Ex-Servicemen
- 10 years for Physically Handicapped persons.

Selection Process:
- The selection process includes a Written Test/Interview.
- The selection of candidates shall be on the basis of combined marks secured in the Written Examination (80% weightage) and TET (20% weightage).
- The minimum qualifying marks for Selection for any post are OCs 40%, BCs 35% SCs, STs, and PHCs 30%.
- The scheme of examination for each post is explained in Annexure III of the Advertisement ( Check Advertisement ).
- The syllabus of the Written Examination is in Annexure IV – XXVI of the Advertisement ( Check Advertisement ).
Application Fees: The Candidates after satisfying themselves with the eligibility criteria for the posts for which they are intending to apply shall pay a fee of Rs.600/- per post for appearing on the written test.

- Differently, abled persons are not eligible for the post of Physical Education Teacher.
