This Planner consists of details regarding vacancies and the month in which the examination will be conducted in the year 2024. All the dates are tentative. Combined Civil Services Examination – II
Combined Civil Services Examination – II (Interview and Non-Interview Posts) (Group II and IIA Services – There are nearly 1294 vacancies for this Group – II posts. The general eligibility is the candidates should have 10+2 qualification from an educational institute recognized by the Tamil Nadu State government with appropriate bachelor’s, Master or diploma and must be between 18-30 years of age. In case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes, Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities, Backward Classes, Backward Classes (Muslims) and Destitute Widows, there is no maximum age limit. The official notification will be out in the month of May and the examination will be conducted in the month of August.
Forest Guard and Forest Watcher in Forest Department
Forest Guard and Forest Watcher in Forest Department – This time the Forest Department has announced nearly 1264 vacancies. So, candidates aspiring to become a forest officer can use this wonderful opportunity to fulfil their dreams. The official notification will be out in the month of March and the examination will be conducted in the month of June. Medical/Physical fitness is mandatory for this job, so candidates has to check their general eligibility, before applying for the job. Both male and female can apply.
CCSE (Combined Civil Services Examination – I (Group I Services)
CCSE (Combined Civil Services Examination – I (Group I Services) – The aspirant must posses a Degree and must be 21 years or above. Age limit is important to be fulfilled by all interested applicants. This year there are nearly 65 openings for Group II examinations. The candidates from unreserved categories can appear for TNPSC Group 1 exam only 4 times. They cannot take the exam once they have exhausted their 4 chances even if they fulfill all the other criteria. However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories can take the exam any number of times as long as they fulfill age limit and other eligibility criteria.

Combined Engineering Services Examination
Combined Engineering Services Examination – Candidates with degrees in engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, civil, agriculture, electronics, production, and telecommunications are eligible to apply for the exam. The official notification will be out in the month of September and the examination will be conducted in the month of January 2025. The selection will be based on Written Test, Document Verification & Counselling Round. Engineering graduates who are tired of IT sector can use this wonderful opportunity.
