TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2022 – TamilNadu Public Service Commission announced notification for the post of VAO, Junior Assistant (Non – Security & Security), Bill Collector, Grade-I, Field Surveyor, Draftsman, Typist, Steno-Typist(Grade-III). The detailed eligibility and application process are given in below.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission:

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is the authority which conduct the recruitment examination every year. There will be a lot of group examination Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV and etc under TNPSC board. For each group examination, there will be a different educational qualification, examination and Selection Procedures. The medium of examination will be in Tamil and English. There will be a reservation for opting sports quota, Ex-servicemen quota, Physically Challenged and preference to the candidates studied in Tamil medium. Even if the candidates are not studied in Tamil medium or not studied Tamil as a subject in their qualification they can write TNPSC in the English Language.TNPSC will offer job opportunity to the candidates having qualification as at least 10th to UG, PG and other qualifications. The candidates who are final year graduates can also apply for TNPSC Recruitment.

TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2022- Detailed Eligibility:

VAO (Village Administrative Officer):

Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz. Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.

Junior Assistant(Non – Security & Security), Junior Assistant in Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Bill Collector Grade-I, Bill Collector in Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development :

Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz., Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or to College Courses of studies.

Typist:

Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz., Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or to College Courses of studies.
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:-
i) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
ii) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)
iii) by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.

Steno-Typist(Grade-III), Steno-Typist(Grade-III) in Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board :

Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz., Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or to College Courses of studies.
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in
Shorthand:-
i) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
ii) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/Junior Grade in English (or)
iii) by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.
Note: Candidates who possess Intermediate Grade will be considered to possess Junior Grade, as the Intermediate Grade is not treated as equivalent to Senior Grade.

Note: The applicants who have not passed SSLC Examination or its equivalent are not eligible even if they possess a higher qualification.

Store Keeper :

Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz., Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with
eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or to College Courses of Studies.
Experience in the maintenance of store accounts for a period of not less than two years.

Junior Assistant in Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board :

Must have passed H.S.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to College Courses of studies.

Knowledge of Tamil:

Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil on the date of this Notification (as on 30.03.2022)

TNPSC Group 4 2022 Exam Age limit:

For VAO: Minimum Age 21

Maximum Age:

SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all castes: 42 years
Others [i.e. Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs]: 32 years

For Others: Minimum Age 18

Maximum Age:

SC / SC (Arunthathiyars), ST and Destitute Widows of all castes: 37 years
MBC / Denotified Communities, BC and BC (Muslims): 34 Years
Others [ i.e., Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs]: 32 Years

TNPSC Group 4 Exam – Selection process:

The selection process is based on the written test.
The question paper contains 200 questions of 300 marks for 3 Hrs duration.
The questions on General Studies will be set both in English and Tamil and the questions
on General Tamil/ General English will be set in the respective languages.

Two types of question papers will be set.

Type-1: General Studies (75 items) + Aptitude Test (25 items) and General English (100
items).
Type-2: General Studies (75 items) +Aptitude Test (25 items) and General Tamil (100 items).

Note: Candidates are given the option to choose either General Tamil or General English for
answering the second 100 items apart from answering the first (75+25)100 items on General Studies and Aptitude Test.
