- Must possess a Bachelor‘s degree in Science or Engineering in any one of the following subjects or its equivalent qualification obtained from any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its

TNPSC Group 1A Recruitment – Selection Process:
- The Combined Civil Services Examination-IA (Group IA Service) comprises three successive stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- Interview
Preliminary Examination:
- Type of Examination: Objective Type (OMR Method)
- Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only and the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

- Appearance in all the Main Examination and the Interview papers is compulsory.
