Tamilnadu Government Arts and Science Colleges Student Admissions – 2021 (TNGASA- 2021) is a completely online portal for the admission of candidates to the various Arts and Science Colleges in Tamilnadu. TNGASA Online College Admission Procedure 2021:
The TNGASA college admission procedure can be summed up into five important steps as given below. The below given five steps covers the entire counseling process for getting admission to colleges.
TNGASA Online Application Procedure:
The candidates have to apply online for the TNGASA through their online portal. The last date to apply online is August 10, 2021. The process for applying online includes online Registration, Payments, Application Filling, Choice filling, and Certificate upload. The candidates can apply online by themselves using their laptops or desktop or mobile phones. If they find it difficult to do, they can also apply through the help of the Admission Facilitation Center (AFC)-2021 at Government arts colleges of each district. Students can access these help centers to get all the services that are required. The TNGASA College Admission Procedure for applying online is given below in detail.
Step 1: Visit the official website of TNGASA – TNGASA Official Site.
Step 2: There you will have an option as “New Registration”. Click on that.
Step 3: Read all the instructions given on that page and then “TICK” the I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions check box and finally click on Submit.
Step 4: Now you will be taken to the Registration section. Make sure you fill in all the details properly without any error. The details that needed to be filled in are as follows:
- Name of the Candidate.
- Email id
- Password. ( You need to create a new one.)
- Re-enter Password. ( Type the password that you created .)
- Mobile Number.
- OTP ( You will receive an One Time Password to the mobile number that you have given. Enter that.)
- Click on Submit.
Note – Kindly use the Email id and mobile number which is active to avoid any inconvenience.
Step 5: After you complete the above step, a notification will pop up showing your application number. NOTE IT DOWN WITHOUT FAIL for future use.
Step 6: You can now log in using the credentials that you created, and follow the following steps to complete the procedure.
Step 7: Now you have to enter your details such as personal and academic details. Now Click on the “Application” menu which will be available and fill in your details as follows. All the details from now on should be entered with utmost concentration and with no error. If there are any errors in your application, it may result in the rejection of your application also. So Enter the details carefully.

Academic Information
• Enter the +2 Registration number
• Select the Qualifying Examination

Marks Entry
Here the candidates must enter the scores obtained by them for each subject.
Step 8: Click on the “Preview” button and check if all the details given are correct and error-free. If there is an error, click the “Back to Edit” button to edit the details. Once you are done editing click on the “Final Submission” button or if all information is correct directly click the “Final Submission” button. You cannot change the details once you submit the “Final Submission” in your application.
Step 9: Now you have to select the “College and Course”. This is one of the important steps, the admission to the college will be based on this step only. so do this carefully.
- First, you need to choose the Course Name according to your eligibility.
- Click on the “College District” to select the district where you want to study.
- Click on “College Code & Name” to select the college you want to study next. A list of colleges will appear you can select from that too.
- If you are willing to apply for the same course at a different college, do the same by clicking the “Add College” button.
- A student can choose many courses as they want.
- Finally, click on submit button.

Step 10: Now you have to do the online payment. The amount is to be paid through Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking, and UBI (through UPI and Google Pay, Paytm). Click “Pay” to do this. The Gateway screen will then appear on your computer. Once the payment is done, take a printout of the Payment Receipt.
Step 11: This is the final step of the online application. Take a printout of your application for future reference. You must paste your passport size photograph in the printed form at the appropriate place and submit it to the college at the time of admission/counseling.
