TN TRB Recruitment 2021 – Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board has released the notification for the post of Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors / Computer Instructor of 2207 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of B.A. Ed/B.Sc/B.Ed/B.PEd/M.PEd can apply for this job. The selection is based on online computer-based examination and certificate verification. Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate Assistant/Language subject:
- Post Graduate with atleast 50% marks (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,) from a recognized University. The B.Ed degree should be in accordance with National Council for Teacher Education norms and standard. or
- Post Graduate with atleast 45% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education. or Post Graduate with atleast 50% marks (or its equivalent) and B.A. Ed / B.Sc., B.Ed., from a recognized University. AND
- Must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in the same languages or their equivalent in respect of which recruitment is made.
PG Assistant Language/Academic Subject:
- Post Graduate with atleast 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution. or
- Post Graduate with atleast 45% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution or Post Graduate with atleast 50% marks (or its equivalent) and B.A., Ed / B.Sc., B.Ed., from a recognized University. AND
- Must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in the same Subject or their equivalent in respect of which recruitment is made.
Physical Director Grade I:
- Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.,) in Health and Physical Education and Degree in Sports with at least 55% marks as per National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2009.or
- At least 50% marks in the B.P.Ed., degree/ B.P.Ed. (Integrated) 4 years professional degree orB.P.Ed. with atleast 55% marks or
- B.P.Ed. with atleast 55% marks or B.P.E Course (or its equivalent) of 3 years duration with at least 50% marks in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education
- M.P.Ed. of at least 2 years duration from any National Council forTeacher Education recognized institution.
Computer Instructor Grade I:
- Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution. (or)
- Post Graduate with at least 45% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from NCTE recognized institution in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (or)
- Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed., from any NCTE recognized institution. (or)
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science / M.Tech Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering /Information Technology / Software Engineering from any recognised University or its equivalent and
- B.Ed., / B.A. Ed.,/ B.Sc. Ed., by recognised University or its equivalent. or Master’s Degree in Computer Applications / Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from any recognised University or its equivalent and B.Ed., / B.A. Ed.,/ B.Sc. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2021):
- No person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to this recruitment, if he has completed 40 years of age, on the first day of July of the year 2021.
- Provided that the age limit prescribed above shall be increased by five years in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and De- notified Communities and destitute widows of all castes.

TN TRB Recruitment PG Assistant Selection Process:
- The Selection will be made in two successive stages viz. Online Computer Based Examination, Certificate Verification
Scheme of Examination:
- The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. Each question carries one mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge are as follows:

Craft Instructor(sewing):
- A pass in +2 under 10+2 pattern. A certificate in needlework and dressmaking (Higher Grade) and Embroidery (Higher Grade) /Diploma in Costume Designing and Dress makings issued by the Board of 10 Technical Education and Training, Chennai/Industrial School Certificate and Technical Teacher’s certificate.
Art Master:
- A Pass in +2 under 10+2 pattern. Degree with Drawing and Painting of a recognised University in the State approved by UGC or its equivalent or Diploma in Painting or Diploma in Drawing of Annamalai University or
- A Diploma in Paintings or Commercial Arts or Modelling of the Government College of Arts and Crafts or Government Technical Examinations (Higher Grade) in FreeHand Outline and Model Drawing or Government Diploma in Drawing or a Certificate issued by the Tamil Nadu Institute of Architecture and Sculpture, Mamallapuram; and Technical Teachers Certificate; (or)
- A Diploma in Fine Arts, awarded by the Director of Technical Education or a Degree in Fine Arts awarded by the Madras University or the Bharathiyar University or any other equivalent Diploma / Degree in Fine Arts issued by other Universities and boards recognised by University Grants Commission
Music Teacher:
- A Pass in +2 under 10+2 pattern. Degree with Music of a recognised University approved by UGC in the State or its equivalent / Sangeetha Bhushan of Annamalai University / Sangeetha Vidwan title in Music awarded by the Director of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu / Sangeetha Siromani of the Madras University / Diploma in Music of the Madras University or Madurai Kamaraj University/ Government Technical Examination Certificate (Higher Grade) in Music with forty per cent in Music (Theory and Practical separately) under the diversified course; and Technical Teachers Certificate ; (or)

TN TRB Recruitment Selection Process:
- The selection will be based on two successive stages viz. Computer based examination and Certificate Verification.
Computer Based Examination:
- The Date, Time and Centre for the Computer Based Examination will be indicated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board in its website.
Certificate Verification:
- The Board will prepare the list of Candidates for Certificate Verification on 1:2 ratio based on the actual Marks in case of single session paper or Normalized marks in case of exam conducted in multiple sessions, duly following the communal rotation and other relevant rules in vogue.
Scheme of Examination:
- The written examination will consist of a single paper of 2 hours and 30 minutes duration with 95 MCQs. Each question carries one mark.
Minimum Eligibility Mark :
- Candidates who secure a minimum of 40% marks in written examination (for SC/SCA-35% mark, ST-30% mark) alone are eligible for recruitment.
Medium of Examination:
- The question paper for all the subjects will be of objective type with multiple choice questions in English and Tamil version.
