Detailed Eligibility:
Assistant Sub-Inspector (W/L):
- Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electronics & Electrical Engineering / Engineering /Telecommunication Engineering/Radio Technology Engineering from a recognised University /Institute. OR
- Certificate course in wireless mechanic cum operator (minimum of two years) OR
- Two years experience as wireless operator on active service in defence service OR
- Successfully passing graduation examination in grade II wireless operating/technician/ passed examination of cryptography conducted by the Police wireless department/ DCPW/Defence.
Physical:
- The Sound state of Health, free from defect/deformity/disease, Vision 6/6 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness.
- Height not less than 168 cms for males and 152 cms. for female.
- Chest measurement (applicable for males only): 81-85 cms.
Police Constable:
- Educational Qualification: Std. XIIth pass from Recognised Board.
Physical:
- Sound state of Health, free from defect/deformity/disease, Vision 6/6 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness.
- Height not less than 168 cms for males and 152 cms for females.
- Chest measurement (applicable for males only): 81-85 cms.
- Should undergo Physical Efficiency test as per following standard:-
800 – Meter Run in maximum 3 Minutes 30 seconds for male and 4.00 minutes for Females. - High Jump – minimum 1.07 mts, for males and 0.90 mts for females.
- Long Jump – 3.68 mtrs for males and 3.00 mts. for females.
Constable Driver:
- Must have passed S.S.C. years.
- Having valid Light Motor Vehicle/Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence
Physical :
- Sound state of Health, free from defect/deformity/ disease, Vision 6/6 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness.
- Height not less than 160 cms for males and 152 cms. for female.
- Chest measurement (applicable for males only) : 81-85 cms.
- Should undergo Physical Efficiency test as per following standard:-
400 – Meter Run in maximum 4.00 minutes for male and 8.00 minutes for females.
Police Constable (RTO/Radio Mechanic/ Cipher):
- H.S.C in Science stream or years
- I.T.I. certificate in Wireless Operating/Radio Tech. Course/Electronic Telecommunication from a recognised Institution.
Physical:
- Sound state of Health, free from defect/ deformity/ disease, Vision 6/6 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness.
- Height not less than 168 cms for males and 152 cms. for females.
- Chest measurement (applicable for males only): 81-85 cms.
Inspector of Excise:
- Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized University.
Minimum Physical requirement:
- Height- 163 cms.
- Chest – Normal 79 cms.
- Expanded – 84 cms.
Excise Guard:
- Educational Qualification: Std Xth pass from recognized Board.
Physical
- Sound state of Health, free from defect/deformity/ disease, Vision 6/6 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness.
- Height not less than 163 cms. for males and 152 cms. for females.
- Chest measurement (applicable for males only): 79 cms. expanded 84 cms.
- Should undergo Physical Efficiency test as per following standard:-
800 – Meter Run in maximum 3 Minutes 30 second for male and 4.00 minutes for females. - High Jump = minimum 1.10 mts for males and 00.90 mts for females.
- Long jump = minimum 3.75 mtrs for males and 3.00 for females.

Staff Selection Board Recruitment 2017 Selection process:
- The selection process is based on written examination/computer based examination.
- There will be 80 questions. Each question carrying 1 mark. For each wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.
- The Merit List will be prepared from 100 marks. i.e. 80 Marks of Written examination and 20 marks of Domicile of Daman & Diu.
