SSC JHT Syllabus 2019:
It consists of two papers Paper I and Paper II. The candidates who secured the minimum marks in Paper I are eligible for the Paper II exam. Paper I consists of General English for 100 marks and General Hindi for 100 marks with total time duration of 2 hours and Paper II consists of Translation and Essay which carries 200 marks with the time duration of 2 hours. Paper I(General Hindi):
- Translation of Sentences.
- Comprehension.
- Antonyms.
- Vocabulary.
- Synonyms.
- Phrases/Muhavare.

Paper I(General English):
- Articles.
- Tenses.
- Grammar.
- Sentence Rearrangement.

- Unseen Passages.

Paper II(Translation and Essay):
- It will have two passages for translation one for translation from Hindi to English and another one for translation from English to Hindi.
- Essay in English and Hindi, to test the candidate’s translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly, precisely and effectively.
SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2019:
The SSC JHT exam pattern will remain the same for his year because there is no official notification is released from the site. The selection will be made in two stages are:
Paper I:
- It is a Computer Based Examination
- It consists of General English and General Hindi.
- Each section carries 100 marks and within the time duration of 2 hours.
- Marks allotted for this paper is 200.
Paper II:
- It is a Descriptive Type
- It consists of Translation and Essay Questions
- The duration of this paper id 2 hours.
- Marks allotted for this paper is 200.
- Applicants have to write an essay in both English and Hindi.
- For translation, the candidate will be given one Hindi to English and one English to Hindi passage.

SSC JHT 2019 Marking Scheme:
- Each paper carries 200 marks.
- Paper I has negative marking, for each wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted.
Final Selection of SSC JHT 2019:
The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Paper I and Paper II examination. Allocation of candidates will be decided by the User Departments depending on their merit position.
