SSC Constable Recruitment 2023 – The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites online job applications for the post of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF and Rifleman(GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2023. There are 75768 vacancies to be filled in this recruitment. Candidates with Matriculation or 10th Class can apply for SSC Jobs. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on or before 28 December 2023. The selection process includes SSC GD Constable Exam. Detailed Eligibility – SSC Recruitment 2023:
Educational Qualification:
Constable (GD):
- The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University
Age limit (As on 01 August 2023): 18 to 23 years. . Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-08-2000 and later than 01-08-2005 in the normal course. e. However, after a relaxation of three (03) years in upper age
Age Relaxation of SSC Jobs:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- 3 years for OBC candidates
- Ex-Servicemen- 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning
- Children and dependent of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat
- Unreserved – 5 Years
- OBE – 8 Years
- SC/ST – 10 Years

Salary details of SSC Jobs:
- Pay Level-1: Rs. 18,000-56,900/- for the post of Sepoy in NIA and
- Pay Level-3: Rs. 21,700-69,100/- for all other posts.
Selection Process of SSC Recruitment 2023:
The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination.
Scheme of Online Examination – SSC GD Constable Exam:
- The Computer based examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each
- All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type.
- The computer based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
- There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
- The dates of examinations will be informed to candidates only through the website of the Commission
- The questions in the Computer Based Examination will be of Page 13 of 55 Matriculation level
- Walk-through video/ Mock Test on the Computer Based Examination has been provided on the website of the Commission in the ‘Candidate’s Corner’ Section

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) -SSC GD Constable Exam:
- Based on the performance in CBE, candidates will be shortlisted for PET/ PST by the Commission.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centres finalized by the CAPF
- Candidates have to clear the race within the following time limits:

Physical Standard Test (PST) – SSC GD Constable Exam:
- Height:
- Male: 170 cms
- Female: 157 cms
- Chest – Male:
- Un-expanded: 80 cms
- Minimum expansion: 5 cms
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
- Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in heights mentioned in the advertisement.
Medical Examination: Candidates will be shortlisted for a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) from the pool of candidates who qualify PET/ PST.
Application Fee:
- Rs 100/- (Rs One hundred only).
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
Mode of Payment: Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards
