Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Stenographer Grade-II: Candidates should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized University possessing Certificate in Computer Application from any Computer Centre and having a minimum speed of 80 w.p.m. in shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in typing.

Stenographer Grade-III: By direct recruitment from amongst Class XII candidates from a recognized Board possessing Certificate in Computer from any Computer Centre and having a minimum speed of 80 w.p.m. in shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in typing.

Age limit (As on 13.11.2017): 18 to 30 years (Relaxation as per government policy)

Pay Scale:

  • Stenographer Grade-II: Rs.9,300-34,800/-
  • Stenographer Grade-III: Rs.5,200-20,200 /-

Sikkim High Court Recruitment 2017 Selection process:

The selection process is based on

  • Practical Examination (Shorthand, Typing & Computer Application)
  • Written Examination
  • Viva Voce

Written Examination:

  • Paper-I (100 marks, Duration:2 hrs)
    English Language: Essay writing, letter writing, idioms 86 phrases, common errors, prepositions, synonyms, antonyms, one word substitution.
  • Paper-II (50 marks, Duration:1 hr)
    General Knowledge: Current affairs, objective questions.
