Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Mining Sirdar :
- Matriculation or Equivalent Examination passed from Govt. recognized Board.
- Valid Mining Sirdar ship Certificate of competency (Un- restricted) issued by DGMS, Dhanbad.
- Valid First Aid & Gas Testing Certificate. OR
- Matriculation or Equivalent Examination passed from Govt. recognized Board.
- Diploma in Mining Engineering of 3 years duration from any recognized Institute.
- Valid Overman Certificate of competency (Un- Restricted) issued by DGMS, Dhanbad or any other certificate of competency in Mining issued by DGMS, Dhanbad which entitles the applicant to work as Mining Sirdar as per Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for working in both Open Cast (OC) & Under Ground (UG) Mines.
- Valid First Aid & Gas Testing Certificate.
Dy.Surveyor :
- Matriculation or Equivalent Examination passed from Govt. recognized Board.
- Valid Survey Certificate of competency (Un- Restricted) issued by DGMS Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for working in both Open Cast (OC) & Under Ground (UG) coal mines.
Age Limit ( As on 30 January 2023 ) :
- The candidate must not be less than 18 years of age.
- The candidate must not be more than 30 years of age in case of UR and EWS.
- The candidates must not be more than 33 years of age in case of OBC (NCL) category and must not be more than 35 years of age in case of SC/ST category.
- The Persons with Disabilities candidate (For the post of Dy. Surveyor only must not be more than 40 years of age in case of UR and 43 years in case of OBC-NCL candidate and 45 years for SC/ST candidates.
Age Relaxation :
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Central List : 03 years
- SC/ST : 05 years
- Departmental Candidates(All employees of ciL & its subsidiary companies) : No upper Age limit
- Ex-Servicemen ESM : Actual period of service rendered in defence services +3 years.
- Persons with Disabilities candidate (For the post of Dy. Surveyor only) : By 10 years for General (UR) candidate, By 13 years for OBC-NCL candidates, By 15 years for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process of SECL Recruitment 2023 :
- The selection process may include Written test/Interview.
- The candidates for the above posts will be selected based on Written Test based on MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) pattern.

- Candidates belonging to GENERAL (UR) / OBC (Creamy Layer & Non-Creamy Layer) /EWS category are required to pay a Non-Refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- plus applicable GST — Rs. 180/- totalling Rs. 1180/-.
- SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwD-BD / Women / Employees of Coal India Limited and its Subsidiaries are exempted from payment of Application fee.
