SEBI Careers – Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Officer Garde A (Assistant Manager):
General:
- Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years) in any discipline/ Bachelor’s Degree in Law/ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or Chartered Accountant/ Chartered Financial Analyst/Company Secretary/ Cost Accountant.
- Equivalent to a Master’s Degree in that discipline as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities
Legal:
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institute
- Desirable: Two years post-qualification experience as an Advocate (including as an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office or Law firm) after being enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 (25 of 1961)
Information Technology:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post-graduate qualification (minimum two years’ duration) in computer science/ computer application/ information technology from a recognized University / Institute.
Engineering (Electrical):
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
from a recognized University/ Institute. - Desirable:
- Knowledge of electronic systems like CCTV surveillance systems, Addressable Security Alarm and Fire Alarm systems, EPABX, UPS systems, etc.
- Experience in maintenance of lifts, pumps, air-conditioning plants, etc.
- Experience administering construction projects in all aspects and knowledge of PERT/CPM techniques.
Research:
- Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years duration) in Economics/ Commerce/ Business Administration/ Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics/ Financial Economics / Mathematical Economics/ Business Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Industrial Economics/ Business Analytics [or]
- Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years) in Finance/ Quantitative Finance/ Mathematical Finance/ Quantitative Techniques/ International Finance/ Business Finance/ International and Trade Finance/ Project and Infrastructure Finance/ Agri. Business Finance [or]

Official Language:
- Master’s Degree in Hindi/ Hindi Translation with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level [or]

Probation: The selected candidates shall be recruited as Officers Grade ‘A’ and undergo two years of probation.
Pre-Examination Training: SEBI will arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/ OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates, free of cost online. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates who desire to avail of the pre-examination training should invariably fill in the details in the relevant column while filling out the online application.

Salary:
- The pay scale of officers in Grade A is Rs. 44500-89150/-pm
- The gross emolument includes SEBI’s Contribution towards the National Pension Scheme (NPS), Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance, Learning Allowance, Special Grade Allowance, etc.
- At Mumbai the minimum of this scale is approx. ₹1,49,500/- p.m. without accommodation and ₹1,11,000/- p.m. with accommodation.
Selection Process for SEBI Careers 2024:
- The selection process will consist of a three-phases, i.e. Phase I (online screening examination consisting of two papers )
- Candidates shortlisted in Phase I will appear for Phase II
- Phase II (online examination consisting of two papers)
- Candidates shortlisted in Phase II will be called for an Interview which is Phase III
Examination Centres: The online examinations and interviews will be held in various cities across India.
