SAIL Recruitment 2022 – Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) – a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise and the leading steel-making company in India, invites applications from eligible persons for recruitment to the post of Management Trainee/Assistant Manager/Consultant/OCT/ACT/Surveyor/Manager(Boiler Operations/Projects/Automation) for its various Plants to be filled for 560 vacancies. Educational Qualification:

Management Trainees (Technical) – Ceramics:
  • Degree in B.E/B.Tech with 65% marks (average of all semesters, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular year by the Institute/ University), in the Engineering discipline of Ceramics.
  • The requisite qualification should have been acquired through a regular/ full time course from Universities/Institutions recognised/accredited by councils/ bodies like UGC/AICTE etc., set up by Central/State Government for the purpose.

Relaxation in Qualification:

  • The SC/ST/PWD/Departmental Candidates having Engineering Degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks (average of all semesters) shall be eligible to apply.

Management Trainees (Administration):

  • Bachelor Degree in any Discipline with 60% marks (Average of all semesters/years) with atleast 02 year full-time MBA/PG Diploma in Management with 60% marks in Human Resources/Personnel Management & Industrial Relations/Personnel Management/Masters in Human Resources & Organizational Development for HR Discipline.

SAIL Recruitment Selection Process:

  • Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an Online Examination to be held tentatively on 29th January, 2023 (The information regarding the test centre will be provided in the Admit Card).
  • From among those who qualify in the Online Examination, candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Interview in the ratio of 1:3 for each discipline, category wise, in order of merit.
  • For final selection, the merit list will be drawn by combining the scores of Online Examination, GD and Interview with the weightage of 75:10:15 in that order.

Scheme of Online Examination:

The Online Examination will be of 200 Marks consisting of two parts:

  • First part of Domain Knowledge Test (duration 40 minutes) for 100 marks.
  • Second part of Aptitude Test (duration 80 minutes) for total 100 marks; consisting of four segments, viz. Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Reasoning, and General Awareness of 25 marks each.

Qualifying Marks in Online Examination:

To be eligible for GD and Interview, a candidate will have to qualify in each of the parts, viz. Domain Knowledge Test and Aptitude Test in the respective discipline by scoring minimum 50 percentile score for UR and EWS posts. For SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD candidates, the qualifying marks will be 40 percentile score.

  • Passed Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) Course from a recognized University with completion of Internship from a recognized Institute.

Radiographer Training :

  • The candidate should have passed a Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology from an Institution Recognized by Government.

Pharmacist Training :

  • The candidate should have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy or B. Pharmacy from an Institution Recognized by Government
