Education Qualification:

Scientific Assistant/C (Automobile Engineering) :

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engg. (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum 60% marks. Experience required: Minimum cumulative 4 years practical relevant experience in Diesel and petrol four wheeler vehicles maintenance experience in automobile manufacturing industry/ authorized or registered reputed garages after obtaining requisite qualification.

Scientific Assistant/C (Mechatronics) :

  • Diploma in Mechatronics with minimum 60% marks (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC). Experience required: Minimum 4 years cumulative Practical relevant experience in mechanical electronic aspects of CNC machine tools maintenance in manufacturing / machine maintenance industry/ tool room etc. after obtaining requisite qualification

Scientific Assistant/C (Electrical) :

OR Diploma in Hotel Management/Administration & Catering Services/Technology (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with an aggregate of 60% marks from Institution recognized by NCHMCT/Government of India/AICTE/ UGC. RRCAT Recruitment Selection Process :
  • Selection Process for B-1 to B-12: 1. Written examination will be conducted and will comprise of objective (multiple) type questions. There will be negative marking for the written examination for incorrect answers. The syllabus for the written examination will be based on subjects at Diploma/B.Sc. level, as the case may be. 2. Candidates in the ratio of 1:5 will be short-listed for interview which will be held on the following day. 3. Final selection and ranking will be on the basis of the performance of the candidates in interview. No weightage will be given for marks scored in the written examination. 4. The decision of RRCAT in this regard will be final.
  • Selection Process for B-13 : In case of receipt of large number of applications a written examination will be conducted to shortlist the candidates on following pattern. Candidates in the ratio of 1:5 will be short-listed for interview which will be held on the following day. Final selection and ranking will be on the basis of the performance of the candidates in interview. No weightage will be given for marks scored in the written examination. The decision of RRCAT in this regard will be final.

Technical Officer/D:

  • B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Production Engineering/Industrial and production Engineering with minimum 60% marks and Minimum 4 Years cumulative practical relevant experience in Production/Manufacturing, Precision machining with multi-axes CNC machines, Manufacturing Process planning, Fixture Designing, CAD/CAM proficiency and other latest manufacturing software proficiency from tool-rooms, medium or large scale manufacturing/production industries etc. after obtaining the requisite educational qualification. OR M.E. / M. Tech. in Manufacturing Technology / Engineering, Production Technology/ Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing Engineering/ Technology (After B.E. / B.Tech) with minimum 60% marks. OR

RRCAT Recruitment Selection Process :
  • For Technical Officer, In case of receipt of large number of applications, a screening test will be conducted. Marks scored in the written test will be criteria for shortlisting candidates for personal interview. Final selection will be based on the performance in the personal interview.
  • For Nurse, The selection process will consist of tests in 3 stages – Stage 1, Stage 2 & Stage 3.
    Stage 1 – Preliminary Test:
  • Preliminary Test to be held to shortlist candidates. The format of the Preliminary Test will be as follows. Examination will consist of 50 multi choice questions (choice of 4 answers) of one hour duration in the following proportion: Mathematics – 20 questions, Science – 20 questions, General awareness – 10 questions
  • ‘3’ marks for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Lowest cut-off in Stage 1 shall not be fixed below 30%.
    Stage 2 – Advanced Test:
  • All candidates screened in Stage 1 will undertake an advanced test in Nursing trade. The test will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) of two hours duration with ‘3’ marks awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark deducted for each incorrect answer.  Lowest cut-off in Stage 2 shall not be fixed below 20%. A merit list of candidates will be prepared after Stage 2 based upon scores obtained in Stage 2 only.
    Stage 3 – Skills Test:
  • Based upon the Merit List prepared after Stage-2, candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 3 (Skills Test).
  • For Sub Officer, The selection process will consist of tests in 3 stages : Stage-1, Stage-2, Stage-3
  • Stage-1 : The applicant who fulfil the requirement will be called for assessment of Physical Test Standard as per Table-1. Those who meet the Physical Standard will require to undergo Physical Assessment Test as per Table-2 and Driving Test.
  • Stage-2 : The candidates who have qualified Physical Assessment test followed by Driving Test will be permitted for Stage-2 of Examination. In Stage-2 screening examination will be held to shortlist candidates.
  • Examination shall comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) of one hour duration in the following proportion : Mathematics : 20 questions, Science : 20 questions, General Awareness : 10 questions
  • ‘3’ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. All candidates belonging to Unreserved category with <40% will be screened out. For reserved posts the lowest cut-off will not be fixed below 30%.
  • Stage-3 : All candidates screened in Stage 2 will undertake an advanced test related to their course in stage-3 test. The test will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) related with course.  ‘3’ marks awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark deducted for each incorrect answer. Test will be of two hours duration. All candidates belonging to Unreserved category with <30% will be screened out. For reserved post the lowest cut-off will not be fixed below 20%. Final selection will be based upon scores obtained in Stage 3 only.
