Detailed Eligibility:
Software Testing Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of programming, user interfaces, and PCs
- Ability to translate design requirements into practical and reliable software designs
- Basic knowledge of object-oriented software design patterns
- Familiarity with State flow software design
- Familiarity with C++, Qt, and QML
- Experience on Codesys platform & handson with various programming approaches (Ladder, FBD etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Mechanical aptitude to physically work on machinery
- Demonstrated individual project management skills (maintaining scope and schedule) on small projects
Desired Skills:
- Experience with industrial automation or mobile machine design
- Experience with SIL 2/3 & shall be able software/logic in accordance with industrial safety guidelines
- Five years prior engineering experience
- Experience in any Linux OS distribution
- Experience in IOT application development, should have successfully implemented a project in IOT or Industry 4.0
- Familiarity with CAN, MODBUS, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, TCP/IP, RS232/I2R based controls
- Familiarity with AGILE or SPI process methodology
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design – 60%
- Design electrical controls and user interface software for independent subsystems on board mobile equipment
- Define software & hardware system & sub-system level architecture wherever applicable
- Define control or test flow sequences at system & sub-system level
- Collaborate with team members during the software design process
- Participate in design reviews
- Provide technical product support through all project design phases
Support – 20%
- Support bug resolution and feature improvement activities for production machines
- Review and update functional and technical specification documents
- Assist with the development of technical publications, such as operator and maintenance manuals
Testing – 10%
- Conduct bench-top and field tests for new and existing components or subsystems to validate functionality
- Ensure that designs meet requirements on function, reliability, safety, and performance of equipment operation
- Interface with others during the building and field testing of prototypes and production machines
General – 10%
- Monitor individual design schedule to ensure completion as determined by manager
- Advise manager regularly as to the status of ongoing projects
