Detailed Eligibility – Punjab National Bank Recruitment:

Education Qualification:

• Graduate degree in any discipline from any Institute/ College/ University recognized/ approved by Govt. bodies/ AICTE/ UGC. The result of the qualification must have been declared on or before 31.12.2025 and candidate must produce Mark Sheets and Provisional/ Degree Certificate issued from the University/ College/ Institute as and when required by the Bank.
• The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State/ UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in local language of that State/UT.

Duration of Training: Total Duration of training will be of one year (i.e. 12 months) from the date of contract. The one-year training will include 2 weeks’ Basic Training and 50 weeks’ On-the-Job Training.

Age Limit (As on 01 January 2026):

• Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years
• Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1998 and not later than 01.01.2006.

Age Relaxation:

• Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe: 05 Years
• Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer): 03 Years
•  Persons with Benchmark Disability as defined under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”: 10 Years
• Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: Age concession up to the age of 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates

• Duration: 60 Minutes

• All applicants who have paid the examination fee will receive an intimation from BFSI SSC with the date and time of the examination.

Document Verification:

• All the candidates applying for the apprenticeship with Punjab National Bank would be admitted to the written test provisionally on the basis of the information furnished by them in the online application. Their eligibility with respect to age / qualification / category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD), etc. will be determined only at the time of document verification after they qualify the written test.
• Relevant documents in original and self-attested photocopies in support of the candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of joining/document verification/Language Test.

Test of local language:

• The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State.
• For other candidates, the test for knowledge of local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted when the candidate is called for document verification by
  the Bank.

Medical Examination:

• Each candidate shall be required to produce a medical fitness certificate, at his/her own expense, issued by a practicing registered general physician holding at least an MBBS qualification.

Final Selection will be subject to:

• Verification of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application
• Qualifying in written test, document verification and test of local language, where applicable, as detailed above.
• Being declared medically fit in accordance with the Bank’s requirements.
