Parliament of India Recruitment 2020 – Parliament of India invites job application form from the eligible candidates for the post of Translator in Lok Sabha Secretariat on Direct Recruitment basis for 47 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of Master’s degree within the age limit 27 years are eligible to apply for this job. Eligible candidates can apply through postal on or before 27 July 2020. Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Hindi from a recognised University with English as a subject at the Degree Level OR
  • Master’s Degree in English from a recognised University with Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level OR
  • Master’s Degree in any subject from a recognised University with Hindi and English as subjects at the Degree
    Level OR
  • Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi/English medium from a recognised University and English/Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level AND
  • Diploma/Certificate course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa from any University/ Institute
    recognised by the Government OR
  • 02 years experience of Translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government offices

Upper Age Limit (as on 27.07.2020): 27 years (29 years for the candidates having the prescribed translation work experience of 02 years)

Upper age limit is relaxable by:

  • SC & ST – 5 years
  • OBC – 3 years

Educational Qualification (as on 28.01.2020):

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University and shorthand speed of
    160 words per minute in English/Hindi.

Parliamentary Reporter Selection Process:

Selection will be based on the Shorthand Test, Written Test and Personal Interview at Delhi/New Delhi only.

For Shorthand Test:

  • Shorthand Test will be of 100 marks. Dictation in English/Hindi
  • The test will be held on computer.
  • Not more than 5% errors will be allowed for passing the Shorthand Test.

speed:

  • 160 w.p.m. of 10 minutes duration to be transcribed within 1 hour 30 minutes in case of English Shorthand Test and 1 hour 55 minutes in case of Hindi Shorthand Test.
  • 140 w.p.m. of 10 minutes duration to be transcribed within 1 hour 20 minutes in case of English Shorthand Test and 1 hour 45 minutes in case of Hindi Shorthand Test.

Note: Which includes 10 minutes for the reading of notes

For Written Test:

  • 100 multiple choice objective type questions consisting of 50 questions in each part
