OPTCL Recruitment 2022 – Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has announced an online job notification for recruitment to the post of  Junior Management Trainee, Apprentice . The education qualification should be Graduate/Diploma/Trade Apprentice in various discipline . There are 290 vacancies are to be filled for this posts. About OPTCL: ODISHA POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED (OPTCL), one of the largest Transmission Utility in the country was incorporated in March 2004 under the Companies Act, 1956 as a company wholly owned by the Government of Odisha to undertake the business of transmission and wheeling of electricity in the State. OPTCL became fully operational with effect from 9th June 2005 consequent upon issue of Odisha Electricity Reform (Transfer of Transmission and Related Activities).

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Junior Management Trainee :

  • The candidates must have completed Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/ Institution.
  • For SC and PWD candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%.

Age Limit (as on 01.1.2022): 

  • Candidate must not be under 21 (Twenty one) years of age and must not be above 32 (Thirty two) years i.e. she / he must not have been born later than 01.01.2001, and not earlier than 01.01.1990
  • Relaxation for SC : Upper age relaxation by 5 (five) Years
  • Relaxation for Women : Upper age relaxation by 5 (five) Years
  • Relaxation for Ex-SM : To the extent of service rendered by them
  • Relaxation for PWD (whose permanent disability is 40% or more) : Upper age relaxation by 10 (Ten) Years.

Salary: 

The salary for the post of Junior Management Trainee is as follows :

  • 1st Year (Trainee) Rs.20,000/month
  • 2nd Year Rs.22,000/month
  • 3rd Year Rs.24,200/month
  • 4th Year Rs.26,620/month
  • 5th Year Rs.29,285/month
  • 6th Year Rs.32,215/month

OPTCL Recruitment 2022 Selection Process:

  • The selection process involves Computer Based Test (CBT) and Personal Interview.
  • Eligible candidates will be called for Computer Based Test, comprising 200 number of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The CBT will be of Three (3) hours duration.
  • In addition, there shall be an online Psychometric Test of 30 Minutes for which there shall be no marking. However, the report of the psychometric test will be used at the time of Personal Interview.
  • There shall be no negative marking.
  • Candidates who qualify in CBT and be shortlisted will be called for Personal Interview in 1:3 ratio in each category.

OPTCL Recruitment 2022 Selection Process:

  • In the event of number of applications being large, OPTCL will adopt short listing criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number by drawing a merit list in the order of the percentage secured by the applicant in the prescribed essential educational qualification.
  • Wherever CGPA/CPI or Grades in qualifying examination is awarded, equivalent percentage (%) of marks should be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by concerned Board / Council / University / Institute. The candidate shall be required to submit a certificate to this effect from the Board / Council / University / Institute at the time of reporting, in case of final selection.
  • The candidates from the merit list will be called for Document Verification & Personal Interview.
