OAVS Recruitment 2023: OAVS notification announced for the post of PGTs/ TGTs/ Principals. Job location would be all across India.There are around 1010 vacancies available. Candidates who have completed Bachelors or Masters in the below mentioned areas with minimum 2 years experience can apply for the job. Selection will be done based on Computer Based Test (CBT), Interview & Performance Test. Detailed qualification and selection details are mentioned below.

About OAVS: The Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) is an initiative of Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, who is passionate about School Education. OAVS provides free quality education in English to the students, especially from semi-urban and rural areas, from across the state. The Adarsha Vidyalaya aims to promote the rural talents by inculcating the 21st century learning skills through a holistic and integral approach for their physical and aesthetic development, apart from academic fineness. This co-ed School is established at the Block Headquarter in all the 314 Blocks of Odisha, at Secondary and Senior Secondary level from Classes VI to XII.

OAVS Recruitment Vacancies – Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Principal:

Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
B.Ed. (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University

Experience:

Persons holding analogous post or Post of Principal – Rs. 15600-39100 with GP of Rs.5400/- OR
Vice-Principal/Asst. Education Officers – Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- with combined services of 03 years as PGT and 02 years as Vice – Principal OR
Persons holding posts of PGTs or Lecturer – Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4800/-/ with at least 05 years’ regular service in the aforesaid grade OR
10 years combined regular services as TGT – Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- / and PGT in the Pay Band of Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- out of which 03 years as PGT OR
The candidates working and having two (02) years of experience as Principal in Aided / Semi Government / Private Institution having conducted at least two (02) batches of 10th Standard Board Examination affiliated to CBSE / ICSE.
The length of service for experience purpose of PGT Computer Science shall be considered from the date of passing the B.Ed. if he has not passed B.Ed. prior to joining as PGT Computer Science.
All the above mentioned posts are in Central/ State Govt. / Autonomous Organization of the Central/State Govt.with the above given pay bands.

For all PGTs:

Two years Integrated post Graduate Course with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/ SEBC candidates) in any of the following subjects or
Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/ SEBC/PH candidates) in any of the following subjects &
Bachelor Degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an Institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
PGT English – English
PGT Physics – Physics/ Electronics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics
PGT Chemistry – Chemistry/ Bio. Chemistry
PGT Biology – Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Bio Science/ Genetics/ MicroBiology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Bio/ Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation Level.
PGT Mathematics – Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
PGT Commerce – Commerce.
PGT Economics – Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics.

For all TGTS:

Four years integrated Degree course in the concerned subject from any Institution recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate(45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) OR
Bachelor Degree in Arts & Science in the concerned subjects with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) along with degree in Bachelor in Education/ 3 years integrated B.A B.Ed (a course prescribed by the NCTE) with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) from an Institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application.

The subjects and combination of subjects are as under:

TGT English – English as an Honours/ Pass/ Elective/Major/ Special Subject at graduation level.
TGT Odia – Odia as an Honours/Pass/ Elective/ Major/ Special Subject at graduation level.
TGT Mathematics – Bachelor Degree in Science with at least 200 marks in Math as a Subject with any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Application, Statistics and Electronics. OR B.Tech/B.E. Degree with 200 marks in Math and any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Application, Statistics and Electronics.
TGT Science – Bachelor Degree in Science having any three subjects out of the following i.e. Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Bio-Technology and Life-Science.
TGT Social Studies – One must have a subject in B.A in any 01 of the following 04 subjects: History, Geography, Pol. Sc. & Economics. In addition he/she should have 01 more subjects out of the following 08 subjects without repetition of the same subjects as at above : History, Geography, Poi. Sc., Economics, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Indian Geography, Landmark in Indian History as Honours/elective/ pass.

ART Teacher:

Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts/Visual Arts from a recognized University.
Proficiency to teach in Odia & English medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application

Note : Candidates having Special B.Ed or D.Ed are not eligible for the post of PGTs and TGTs.
