RRC Northern Railway Recruitment:
ONLINE applications are invited from ELIGIBLE and desirous candidates for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for imparting training at various Divisions/Units/Workshops over Northern Railway. Imparting Training in Railway will not confer any right to the candidates for their absorption in Railway after completing training. It shall not be obligatory on the employer’s part to offer any employment to the Apprentice on completion of the period of his/her apprenticeship training in his/her establishment. It shall not be obligatory for the apprentice to accept employment under the employer.

Educational Qualification:
Apprentices:
- The candidate must have passed the SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, in the aggregate, from a recognized Board and must have passed ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by the Government of India.
Note: The candidate should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of issue of notification. The applicants whose SSC/Matriculation/10th and ITI results are awaited as of the date of notification are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit(As on 16 September 2024):
- The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and not completed 24.
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.
- For Persons with Disability, the upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by up to an additional 10 years for ex-servicemen to the extent of service rendered in Defence Forces plus 03 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months service at a stretch, except Ex-servicemen who have already joined the Govt. service on Civil side after availing the servicemen status for their engagement.
Stipend: Period of Training & Stipend- As per Rules applicable.

Selection Process of Northern Railway Jobs:
- Screening & Scrutiny of the application. There will be no written test of viva.
- Selection of Act Apprentices is to be made based on merit prepared, to take the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidate in both Matriculation/SSC/10th (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) & ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
- If two candidates have the same marks, the candidate of an older age shall be preferred. In case of the Date of Birth are also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.
- A final merit list will be a prepared cluster, trade-wise and community-wise, equal to the number of slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in SSC/Matriculation/10th & ITI
