Detailed Eligibility – NMDC Apprentice Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Trade Apprentices:
- Candidates must possess an ITI Trade Qualification Certificate (National Trade Certificate / State Trade Certificate) from an institution that is recognised by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) / State Council of Vocational Training (SCV) at the time of application in the respective trade (Machinist, Fitter, Welder, Mechanic Diesel, MMV, Electrician, COPA).
Graduate Apprentices:
- Must possess a Degree in Engineering/Technology (in Chemical, Computer, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mining, or Civil) OR
- A Degree in Pharmacy Science (for Pharmacy) OR
- A Degree in BBA from a government-recognised university/institute.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- Must possess a Diploma in Engg./Technology from Govt. recognized university/ Institute in relevant fields (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mining)
Notes:
- Engineering graduate or Diploma Holder or Trade Certificate holder who has undergone / undergoing / already contract has been created in the apprenticeship portal or has job experience for more than one year, after the attainment of these qualifications, shall not be eligible for apprenticeship under the Apprentice Act 1961.
- Please ensure that the gap shall not be more than 5 years from the date of passing the examination to the date of contract creation on the respective portal. If this gap is more than 5 years on the date of contract creation, the contract won’t be created by the portal and engagement as an apprentice won’t be possible. So, candidate having gap of more than 5 years need not apply.
