Detailed Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
Technician: 12th or intermediate pass in science subjects with 55% marks from a Govt. recognized Board.
- Life Science: At least one-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a government-recognized institution.
- CS/IT: At least one-year Diploma in computer science/ information technology from a government-recognized institution.
- Electrical Engineering: At least one-year Diploma in electrical engineering from a government-recognized institution
- Veterinary Sciences: At least one-year Diploma in Veterinary Science/Animal Husbandry from a government-recognized institution.
- Driver Cum Mechanic (Light Motor Vehicle): At least one-year Diploma in Driver Cum Mechanic (Light Motor Vehicle) from a government-recognized institution.
Laboratory Attendant:
- 10th Pass with 50% marks in aggregate from a Govt, recognized board AND
- One year of working experience in a Govt, recognized/approved/registered Laboratory or ITI in any field or trade certificate from government agencies.
Technical Assistant:
- Life Science: 1st class bachelor’s Degree (minimum three years duration) in Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least anyone of the following subjects: –
- Zoology
- Chemistry
- Biotechnology
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Biostatistics
- Environmental Science
- Virology
- Molecular Biology
- Immunology
- Parasitology
- Medical Lab technology:
- 1st class three years Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University Or
- 1st class three years duration diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology diploma from a recognized institute with 2 years‟ experience in relevant field
- Veterinary Sciences:
- 1st class three years Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science/Animal husbandry from a recognized University Or
- 1st class three years duration diploma in Veterinary Science/Animal husbandry diploma from a recognized institute with 2 years‟ experience in relevant field
- CS/IT:
- 1st class three years Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized University Or
- 1st class three years duration diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology diploma from a recognized institute with 2 years experience in relevant field Or
- 1st class Engineering/Technology degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
- Electrical Engineering:
- 1st class three years Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University Or

Age Limit(As on 28 July 2023):
- Technician: 28 Years
- Laboratory Attendant: 18-25 Years
- Technical Assistant: 30 Years
Age Relaxation:
- No age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates applying for the unreserved posts as per GoI rule
- Candidates working in the ICMR FUNDED PROJECTS continuously shall also be eligible for age relaxation up to five years
- Central Govt, servants and departmental candidates who have rendered at least three years continuous service under the Central Government are allowed the age relaxation up to the age of 40 years (45 years for SC/ST) for appointment to Group C posts
- Age concession of 5 years is allowed to Departmental Candidates and Central Government employees for appointment to Group B posts
Salary :
- Technician: Rs.19,900 – 63,200/-
- Laboratory Attendant: Rs.18,000-56,900/-
- Technical Assistant: Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400/-

Selection Process:
- The selection for the posts of Technical Assistant, Technician – 1 and Laboratory Attendant -1 will be merit based through a multiple-choice question- based test, subject to fulfilling all the eligibility criteria as per the DoPT guidelines.
