Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Scientist B (Medical):
- MBBS / BDS / B.V.Sc. & AH recognized by MCI / DCI / VCI respectively OR BDS / B. V. Sc degree with one year experience
- Desirable: Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification
- Additional research/training experience in Outbreak investigation/ Public Health/ Epidemiology / Virology/ Diagnostics/ Infectious disease Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management MD/ PhD in the related subject from a recognized university/ institute
- Notes: MD / MDS / M.V.Sc degree in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years experience
Scientist B (Non- Medical):
- 1st class Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university OR
- 2ndclassMaster’s degree with a PhD degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university
- Desirable: Two years R & D experience in relevant subjects after obtaining essential qualifications Preference will be given to candidates having experience in virology/microbiology/ molecular diagnostics / genetics-related laboratory work, NABL accreditation process, outbreak investigation, knowledge of computer applications, data management and sequence/phylogenetic/ bioinformatics analysis software’s
- Note: PhD degree in relevant subjects shall be treated as equivalent to three years experience
Research Assistant:
- MSc in Microbiology / Virology / Genetics / Molecular biology / Biotechnology
- Desirable: Two years experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualifications.
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in biomedical waste management and maintenance of medical laboratory equipment, or suitable experience in virology / molecular diagnostics / genetics-related laboratory work, NABL accreditation process and knowledge of computer applications
Laboratory Technician:
- B. Sc. / Intermediate with a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Desirable: Two years experience in relevant subjects after obtaining essential qualifications.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in dealing with medical laboratory equipment, or suitable experience in virology / molecular diagnostics / genetics-related laboratory work, NABL accreditation process and knowledge of computer applications
Data Entry Operator:
- Graduate from a recognized University with knowledge of data entry work
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications with good typing skill for data entry work.
- Experience in Data entry a medical diagnostic laboratory & store and inventory management.
- Independent communication skills in English language with knowledge of GEM& following up physical e-file notings in the Government/PSU/Healthcare industry sector.
- A speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through a speed test.
Multi-Tasking Staff:
- High School / Matric/equivalent from a recognized board.
- Desirable: One –two years of experience or recommendation of working in clinical laboratories in past.
- Knowledge of infection control & handling of Biomedical waste.
- High qualifications & experience more than the essential qualification in the relevant discipline will be an advantage for shortlisting.
Age Limit(As on 30 October 2023):
- Scientist B (Medical): 35 Years

Age Relaxation:
- Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates, project employees and ex-servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by ICMR from time to time.
- No age relaxation will be given to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates applying for the Unreserved post as per Govt. of India order No.36011/1/98/Estt(Res.) dated 1-7-1998 and as amended from time to time

Lower Division Clerk:
- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
- The typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on a Computer (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.)
Stenographer:
- 12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University with computer literacy.
- 80 w.p.m. speed in short hand in English or Hindi.
Age Limit(As on 06 November 2023): 18 – 27 Years
Age Relaxation:
- No age relaxation will be given to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates applying for the Unreserved post as per Govt. of India
- Person working in ICMR projects continuously shall also be eligible for age relaxation upto 5 years, provided he/she has entered into project service within the prescribed age limit for the post.
- Relaxation of age limit would be permissible to such persons who have minimum of 40% disability

Selection Process:
- Selection for the posts will be through CBT (Computer Based Test).
