Educational Qualification:
Technical Assistant :
- First class B.E/B.Tech/MCA in the streams of Bio technology/Civil/Chemical/CSE/IT/Industrial & Production/Mechanical/Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics/Textile/Chemistry/Physics from recognized university. or
- First class diploma in relevant fields. or
- First class Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognized university. or
- Master’s degree in Science from a recognized university.
SAS Assistant :
- First class Bachelor’s degree in physical education from a recognized university or institute.
- Strong record of participation in sports.
Junior Engineer :
- B.E/B.Tech in Civil / Electrical engineering from a recognized university or institute. or
- First class Diploma in Civil / Electrical engineering.
Senior Stenographer :
- 12th pass from a recognized board with a minimum speed in short hand 100 w.p.m in Stenography.
- Desirable : Proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet with advanced skills, Bachelor’s degree.
Stenographer :
- 12th pass from a recognized board with a minimum speed in short hand 80 w.p.m in Stenography.
- Desirable : Proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet with advanced skills.
Senior Assistant :
- 12th pass from a recognized board with a minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m and proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet.

Senior Technician :
- 12th pass in Science streams from a recognized board. or
- 10th pass with ITI Certification. OR

Select Process of NIT Jalandhar Recruitment 2023 :
- The selection process includes Screening Process / Skill Test / Written test.
- The final merit list shall be drawn on the basis of the stage-III written test.
Screening Test :
- A screening test shall be conducted in the first phase in form of multiple choice written test. Written test shall be of 90 minutes’ duration comprising of 75 questions.
- Each correct answer will be awarded One [1] mark and for each wrong answer One-fourth [1/4] mark shall be deducted.
- Eligible candidates Ten Times of the positions in each category will be screened for the Stage-II subject to the fulfillment of all educational qualification.
Skill Test : The skill test will be of qualifying nature.
Final Test :
- Final written test shall be of 2 hours duration comprising of 100 multiple choice questions.
- Each correct answer will be awarded One [1] mark and for each wrong answer One-fourth [1/4] mark shall be deducted.
- Only those who are screened in after the Screening test [Stage –I] and qualify the Skill Test [Stage-II] will be allowed to appear in the Final Test [Stage III].
