National Institute of Nutrition: NIN is a Nutrition, Indian Public health and Translational research center located in Hyderabad. Mr Sir Robert McCarrison founded this Institute in 1918. It is one of the oldest research centers in India, and the largest center, under the Indian Council of Medical Research. The other wings for NIN are the National Centre for Laboratory Animal Science, the Food and Drug Toxicology Research Centre, the National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau.

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

For Personal Assistant:

  • Minimum 3 years Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/ Institute with computer literacy.
  • 120 w.p.m. speed in shorthand (English or Hindi)

For Stenographer:

  • 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University with computer literacy.
  • 80 w.p.m. speed in shorthand in English or Hindi.

For Upper Division Clerk:

  • Degree of a recognized University Or equivalent.
  • Typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m and 30 w.pm. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.)

For Lower Division Clerk:

  • 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University with computer literacy.
  • Typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m and 30 w.pm. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.)

Age Limit(As on 25 September 2019):

  • For Personal Assistant: Not exceeding 30 years
  • For Stenographer/ LDC/ UDC: 18 to 27 years

Post wise Vacancies:

  • For Personal Assistant: 5 posts
  • For Stenographer: 3 posts
  • For LDC: 7 Posts
  • For UDC: 5 Posts

Salary Details:

  • For Personal Assistant: Rs.35400-112400/Month
  • For Stenographer/LDC: Rs.25500-81100/MOnth
  • For UDC: Rs.19900-63200/Month

Application Fees:

  • For SC/ST/PWD/Women Candidates & ICMR  employees: No Fees
  • For Others: Rs.300/-

Payment Mode: 

Through Demand Draft in favour of The Director, ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR-NIN), Hyderabad form any the Nationalized Bank in India.

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on the written test and typing test.

For Personal Assistant/Stenographer:

  • Written Test 200 marks (0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer).
  • Qualifying mars for written test will be 50% for UR/OBC and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
  • The only qualified candidate shall be called for skill/shorthand Test.
  • Merit candidate will be decided on the basis of total marked scored in the written
    Examination subject to qualifying in the skill/shorthand test.

  • Written Test for 200 marks (0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer).
    Qualifying marks for written test will be 50% for UR/OBC and 40% for SC/ST/PH candidates.
  • The only qualified candidate shall be called for skill/shorthand Test.
  • After written Examination the number of candidates to be called on the basis of merit for the Skill (Typing) Test.
  • Merit candidate will be decided on the basis of total marks scored in the written
    Examination subject to qualifying in the typing test.
  • The Typing Test is of qualifying nature. Failure in the Typing Test shall be a failure in the Written Examination.
