Educational Qualification:

Assistant Professor:

Essential Qualification:

  • Good academic record with M.Sc./MCA/M.Tech (or) PhD degree in Computer Science/Information Technology with at least 55% marks in Masterโ€™s Degree (or an equivalent grade on a point scale)
  • At least three years of teaching/research/professional experience in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor or Lecturer in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ Industry, excluding the period of Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification: The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience handling computer centre services, campus networking services, and ERP solutions.

Research Associate โ€“ I:

Essential Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Food Science/ Food & Nutrition/ Food Technology/ Chemical Engineering/ Food Process Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology (or)
  • 3 Years of research, teaching & design & development experience after M.E/M.Tech. in any of the above disciplines with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Title: ย Extension of shelf life and retention of natural taste and freshness of tender coconut water using the hybrid HPP plus PEF treatment (GAP-70).

Essential Qualification:

  • M.Tech / M.Sc. / Ph.D. degree (4 years of UG + 2 years of PG) in Food Process Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Process Engineering, PostHarvest Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology (or) Nanotechnology. (or)

Title: ย Design and development of Ohmic heating system as a pretreatment to enhance dehulling and debranning in millet processing and enhance the quality of the processed millet (GAP-074).

Essential Qualification: M.Tech. (4 years of UG + 2 years of PG) in Food Technology/ Food Engineering/ Food Process Engineering.

Project Assistant (PA): (Institute projects)

  • B.Tech in Food Process Engineering/ Food Science & Technology or B.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology (or)
  • M.Sc. in any of the above disciplines.

Project Assistant (PA):

Title: ย Strengthening Food Testing System in the Country Including Provision of Mobile Food Testing Laboratories (SoFTeL) (GAP-071).

Essential Qualification: B.Tech in Food Technology/ Food Science & Technology / Food Process Engineering

Desirable: Good Communication skills in English & Tamil.

Project Assistant (PA):

Title: ย Process Technology for Developing Selected Functional Fruit/Edible Flower-Based Beverages (SRP-037).

Essential Qualification: B.Tech. in Food Technology/ Chemical Engineering/ Fisheries Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering/ Dairy Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology (or) M.Sc. in these fields (or) in Food Science and Nutrition/ Home Science.

Duration: Tenure will be initially for six months or till the completion of the Project Period, whichever is earlier and renewal of tenure will be done every six months based on the performance.

Age Limit:

  • Assistant Professor (Contractual): Less than 45 years
  • RA/SRF/ Project Assistant: 35 years for men and 40 years for women
