NEET 2019 Cutoff: National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the session of 2019 was conducted on 5th May 2019 by the National Testing Agency. The result of NEET entrance examination is expected to declare on 5th June 2019.NEET Counselling will give admission to MBBS and BDS courses for those candidates whose scores satisfy the NEET cutoff marks.NTA will release the category wise cutoff marks for all category in its official website.NEET is the National level Medical Entrance test which is conducted in the past two years. NEET 2019 CutoffNEETย 2019 Cutoff :

ย  ย  ย  ย Total of 13 lakh candidates is registered and appeared for the NEET examination at 2225 centers across the country. Students who are cleared the minimum cutoff will be able to register for NEET counseling which could be held in the month of June. In last year, UR category candidates have to score minimum cutoff of 119 marks out of 720 marks and OBC/SC/ST category candidates have the minimum cutoff marks of 96 out of 720. Before going to check the result candidates have to know the factors which are considered for the cutoff selection:-

  • The difficulty level of the NEET examination
  • Overall passing percentage
  • Number of seats available
  • Previous year NEET cutoff

NEET 2019 Minimum Percentile:

ย  ย  ย  ย  Candidates have to score the minimum percentile marks for each category and it will be separately announced in NTA website. Method to calculate the percentile:-ย  Percentile=((Number of students โ€“ Candidate NEET rank)/Number of students) * 100.

NEET Marking System:

ย  ย  ย With the help of answer key candidates can check their approximate score before the result declaration. Candidates can refer marking system followed by NTA for NEET are given below:-

  • Every correct answer will add 4 marks.
  • Every wrong answer will reduce -1 mark.
  • No marks for multiple answers and no answer.
  • Total marks will be 720 marks for 180 multiple choice questions.

Steps to calculate NEET cutoff 2019:-

Step 1: Check the number of correct and incorrect answers you have chosen by referring the answer key in the NTA official website nta.ac.in

Step 2: Calculate Cutoff=(No.of.correct answer*4)-(No.of.incorrect answer*-1)

Step 3: Compare your approximate scores with the qualifying cutoff.

Step 4: Refer the colleges available for your cutoff on the official website.

Tie-breaking Factors for NEET 2019:

ย  ย  ย  ย If two or more candidates obtained the same score then the rank will be given based on the following scenario:-

  • Biology marks obtained in NEET 2019.
  • Chemistry marks obtained in NEET 2019
  • Number of wrong response in NEET 2019
  • The older candidate will get preference.
