NBRC Careers
NBRC invites applications for the Scientist – IV/Associate Professor position from qualified, dynamic and result-oriented scientists to conduct research in advanced neuroscience areas and those who have a genuine interest in teaching. Candidates should have a proven record of scientific accomplishment in the form of recent peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals of international repute and experience as per the position’s requirements. Current research at the Centre encompasses molecular, systems, computational neuroscience, and neuroimaging aspects of basic and translational neurosciences. Candidates with a research focus in these and other multidisciplinary areas that the Centre would like to develop, such as system neuroscience (involving non-human primates, rodent and mouse models) and or candidates with expertise in functional activities of the brain in health and diseased conditions using multimodal approach (fMRI-EEG). The Centre encourages collaborations and has close ties with many National Research Centres and Universities, and the region’s leading hospitals. However, the faculty is expected to raise extramural grants to build and support their research programs. The faculty is also required to teach and participate in the management of the Centre with responsibilities assigned by the competent authority as per requirements.

National Brain Research Center: The National Brain Research Center was formerly the Autonomous Government Institute. The Neuroscience research group called NBRC is headquartered in Manesar, Gurgaon District, Haryana. It was established in 1997 by the Department of Biotechnology. Apart from the research process, it will be the platform for the training and teaching of various fields of Neuroscience.

Educational Qualification:
Senior Engineer:
- M.Tech/M.E. or equivalent degree in engineering from a recognised University/Institute with eight years supervisory experience in the relevant field preferably in a Central/State Government Department/ University/Deemed University or educational/ scientific/research institution, PSU/ autonomous body under Central/ State Government. OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or AMIE or equivalent degree in engineering from a recognised University/Institute with ten years supervisory experience in the relevant field preferably in a Central/State Government Department, university/deemed university or educational/ scientific/research institution, PSU/ autonomous body under Central/ State Government.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Govt. rules and regulations and working on computers.
Duration: The initial appointment by Direct recruitment/contract including short-term (>2 years) shall be on probation for a period of 2 years from the date which he/she assumes charge of the post.
Age Limit: 50 years
