Kottayam District Programme Management and Support Unit of the National AYUSH Mission scheduled an interview for the recruitment of Nursing Assistant (ANM) and Multipurpose Health Worker (GNM) on a contract basis at various AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres in the District. NAM: The National AYUSH Mission is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the Ministry of AYUSH. The government of India launched the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) during the 12th plan in 2014. In Kerala, NAM started activities in 2015. NAM aims to mainstream AYUSH Systems into health care services, develop evidence-based AYUSH management protocol through scientific documentation, and ensure the accessibility of quality AYUSH services. Regarding the funding pattern, 60% of the share is provided by the central government and 40% by the state government. Through the State Medicinal Plant Board, NAM supports four line departments under the State’s AYUSH department, the AYUSH drug sector, and Medicinal plant cultivation. It runs various projects on health care in AYUSH streams and supports institutions under the AYUSH department by various means. For 2021-2022, the State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) has been proposed for Rs.35 Crores.
