NALCO Recruitment 2022 – National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has announced an online job notification for engagement for the post of Deputy Manager/Assistant General Manager of 39 vacancies & Trade Apprentice for 375 vacancies.Candidates with Educational Qualifications of  B.Sc/ITI/HSC can apply  for Trade Apprentice. Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Fitter, Turner, Welder, Machinist, Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV), Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, PASAA, Lab Asst. (C.P):

  • Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent.

Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant):

  • B.Sc. pass with Physics (Hons.)& Chemistry (Hons.) only.

Note:

  • Duration of Training is 1 year.
  • Nominees of Land Oustees affected by NALCO projects (son/ daughter/ Grandson/ Granddaughter.
  • Dependent son/ daughter/ spouse of NALCO/ Ex-NALCO employees.
  • Dependent son/ daughter of NALCO Associates
  • Candidates from Angul district and other districts.
  • Indian Nationals belonging to the state of Odisha are only eligible to apply.
  • Candidates can apply for one Trade only.
  • The candidates should NOT have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • Candidates, who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment
    of prescribed qualifications, shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as Trade Apprentice.

NALCO Recruitment Selection Process:

  • Selection will be done subject to meeting the eligibility criteria. The common merit list will be prepared considering 50 points for seniority, 25 points for ITI marks and 25 points for HSC marks secured by the candidate.
  • Merit list will be prepared separately for land oustees dependants and for employees son/daughters.
  • Final merit list candidates will be called for Document verification based on the selection committee recommendations.

NALCO Recruitment Selection Process:
  • Shortlisting will be done based on the information/ declaration submitted by the candidate at the time of submission of online application. In case any false declaration is found during the verification of documents / experience at the time of Personal Interview, candidate will not be allowed to appear the interview and no TA/DA will be paid.
  • Shortlisting of the candidate will be done based on the criteria/experience mentioned at Table-1 read with Table 2 and on the weightages assigned to % of marks obtained in essential qualification, desired qualification minimum required experience, additional year(s) of experience, experience of the company having turnover of 250 Crores or more / experience of listed companies etc.. In addition to the same, experience from Mining, Metallurgical, Chemical, Power, Manufacturing / Production sectors will have additional weightage.
  • The eligible candidates will be called post wise, category wise in the ratio of 1:10 to appear in the selection process. In case, two or more candidates have secured same marks in same post and category which eventually would result in the increase of 1:10 ratio, then all such candidates will be called for interview irrespective of the above mentioned ratio.
  • The assessment will be made through Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview(PI) with the weightage of 25% and 75% respectively.
  • Based on the performance in group discussion and/or personal interview, organizational requirement, vacancies to be operated, the candidates will be selected.
  • Mere meeting the advertised specification does not entitle a candidate to be called for GD/PI. The management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria by taking into account the standard of qualification and/or experience to restrict the number of candidates for assessment.
